I KNOW the highness is better value but damn this looks good! You know at times you're in the mood to ride leisurely, in a classy no non sense way very calmly, you could do that on this because from the front quarters it's very classy. But at times to really want to rip through the streets, you could do that because from the rear quarters it's essentially a sporty motorcycle. This perhaps is the epitome of a "you cannot go wrong with it" motorcycle.
See, like I said in the review, this is a brilliant motorcycle. However, it's the Highness that handles better. That too, everywhere. The difference is not night and day, but there is a difference, and as a reviewer, I can't ignore it. That said, the RS still handles better than everything else in the segment 😃
@@RealAutoReviews I guess it varies from rider to rider for their riding style, height, weight & also other things, but I found that the RS handles significantly better than the Hness
@@abhinandanghosh4056 the handling doesn't depend on your height. The maneuverability does. There's s difference between the two.The RS handles great but the steering takes more effort. That's the difference between a regular enthusiast and a reviewer. The former provides his feedback; the latter provides the bike's.
After testing the CB twins back to back, I found the RS to be a much more easy bike & my pillion for the test ride came to the same conclusion as well, it was the Hness that was a no go for us. the RS handles way better & contrary to the popular belief has better pillion comfort. I am 5'11 & have been riding for a decade, I found the Hness to be difficult to sit on, the seats were harder compared to the RS & the pillion seat is just too flat, without a backrest that flat seat can be dangerous for the pillion if you ever gun it. However, not carrying over the navigation unit & handlebar mounted switch panel is a big miss, same goes for the dual horn, but these are features, some of which can be added later on like the extra horn. Overall, the CB350RS is a better performer than the Hness in comfort, handling & top end performance, the price of the RS however, is a bit of a disappointment, it should be at least 5k lighter for missing out on those features
Doug DeMurro would be proud of this quirks and features review. Albatross rivalling wingspan 😂 Also, your new camera gear is excellent, as it managed to catch the DRLs in daylight when you were talking about the steering. BTW, excellent review.
My height is 5'1 and I'm confident enough to take this bike.....I had a ride experience in RE Himalayan, had some difficulties during U-turn in roads and some difficulties in pulling it back, but I hope that Honda CB is a bit lower than Himalayan right? Only one reason why I wish to have RS is for its colours whether its Red or Dual tone Black-Yellow or Blue, If H'ness has those colour options similar to RS, I would straight-away go with H'ness
No doubt in picking up one, i ride the blue and white Highness from showroom and im going to buy it. Yes Rs is the sportier version but i like highness most from the launch date 🥰. I dont ride rs and dont want to be. Before going to show room black and grey was my choice but after riding the blue one i liked the color very much, whie driving i just looked in to the tank and i feel very premium. I watched ur all videos about rs and Highness its very informative than any other channels. You showed the correct seat hight measurement and it inspired a lot my hight is 5.3, Thank you... ❤❤❤
Brother, as a short rider, 1)How did you managed to ride the bike when the road is a bit slanted or uneven when the bike is idle? 2)Is it easy to pull or push it out from the parking space without the engine running, as if we are sitting on the bike or standing next to the bike and doing the manoeuvre? And finally, brother I am 5' 4". Will I be able to handle the bike for the above situations and also considering its weight?
I am just 5'1". I did not face any issues on the Highness but this bike was a bit of a challenge. That said, at 5'4" you will do absolutely fine! See, the misconception is that you need to flat foot. NO! As long as you are able to tip toe on BOTH sides at the same time, you can ride any motorcycle on this planet. Take that from me who has done Bombay to Delhi on a 400 kg Indian Chieftain. 😀
Thanks for the reply brother, always keep this enthusiasm and charm. You have done a very informative review. Looking forward to your further projects.
Hi, I'm 5'4". I am no prior Bike owning experience. Initially after taking delivery, for a week I felt like I had bought a bike which I'm not capable of handling but slowly, Its getting good 1. Corning capability of CB is rock solid! I had been to a hilly strech and boy I loved riding it 2. For pull/push out of parking, Somehow near main seat, there is a slot where I rest my body and am able to easily maneuver around Also, I'm tip toeing both front foot and so far able to manage.. But seriously, all this hassle is forgotten once we ride CB in highways. Would seriously recommand test ride and decide😎
@@RealAutoReviews Thanks man. The thing is i saw the bike in person and to me, bike does have those old school looks, but it still manages to look very young
Super crisp ... .... Thank you bro... .... You were mentioning about tight handle bar... So, How was the drving experience in city ....? Particularly in traffic.... ... Air cooled... any heating issues....??
Thank you! It's not an issue at all; you'd feel it only when you ride it after you have ridden the Hness. The air-cooled motor keeps its calm, despite being ridden at full chat in Delhi's already superhot summers. So no worries there as well. 😃
Bro which is best CB 350 RS or Jawa 42 2.1,. I need better handling, long touring, better mileage, better cruising speed of 90-100 , can you please suggest
I just came from your CB350 H'ness video (for the 2nd time because I forgot about this video!🤣) and I have a question - do we need to change the rear tyre on the Highness to the one on the RS? It's just an assumption, but wouldn't the 150 section tyre mean better grip during the monsoons? I'm not a fast rider, I'll probably never cross 50 km/h on city roads. All I need is safety and comfort. And mileage would be a bonus, but not a deal-breaker.🌝
I rode the Hness quite extensively (over 500 km) and didn't find the grip lacking at any occasion. And I don't ride at 50 km/h 😁 So, that shouldn't be on your worry list even remotely. The Hness is the best and the near-perfect bike you can buy in this segment. Plus, it doesn't require any mods. 😃
@@RealAutoReviews I will put on a back rest for my parents and Aunt. Other than that, I think keeping it stock is the best way to go. Any other modification would spoil it's aesthetic. Thanks for the advice. Now I just need to test ride it.
A few queries: Are the sacrifices in the form of charging port, Bluetooth, pillion comfort worth it for a better styled package at a higher premium? How good is the aftermarket accessories support for the RS? Hness gets a lot of love but not the RS. Accessories i am looking for are a proper grabrail, a pillion foot rest maybe and frame sliders. It may seem like the Hness suits my requirements more but the RS is much better styled and slightly sporty too which I want. Will Honda ever update this bike? A cb350rs 2.0 maybe
1) Premium worthiness: Yes if you are in love with the looks. Otherwise, no. 2) Pillion won't be comfortable on the RS as much as on the Hness. 3) The RS should get the accessories too. It could just be a matter of time. 4) An update looks highly unlikely for at least a year. Go for it if you have your heart on it. But if the pillion would be riding frequently, I would recommend the Hness. Hope this helps.
@@RealAutoReviews Thanks for the reply! How easily can we arrange for the rear grab rail and a pillion footrest like the Hness for the RS (Hness accessories compatible with RS??) and does honda provide the usb charger as an optional add-on? If these 3 are somehow achievable without tampering with the warranty etc. I might go in for the RS. Also how will a full blacked out Hness look? I don't like chrome at all. Else i would just have to pass on both these 2 awesome bikes as neither is perfect in the ways i want it to be😔
@@saikatdey2007 1) No (to almost every conversion from RS to Hness), sadly, as the mountings are different. 2) Full black, unless done by the company, may look garish. Won't recommend. 3) Cancelling both would be a pity. Get the RS. Itna bhi hadh se zyada perfection nahi dhoondne ka 🙄
@@RealAutoReviews 😅 yes but what an awesome temperament you have.. I went through all of your comments yesterday.. Even disrespectful comment wala public bhi last taak dost hi ban gye aapka 😅
Buddy, can I direct install these tyres/alloys onto the Hness or is there an impediment in terms of the frame etc? Can the double horn be installed by the official service center? I presume the battery and electricals are the exact same and only needs a split wiring to be routed to both sides?🤔
Bro i took a test ride of both Honda highness 350 and RS as well . Frankly speaking as per the looks i like Rs much better . But i like Highess because of seat comfort and grab rail it holds . I am confused which one to take !
@@RealAutoReviews I am really confussed ya . As per riding comfort i prefer honda higness and looks RS does great job . Wish it could have come up with grab rails and back pillion seat more long and comfort . This decision is holding me to go for RS !
Sir mera cb350rs ka Rear tyre wearoff hogya lekin mujhe Naya tire 15hazar ka mil raha hai sirf Pirelli aur Metzeler ka... MRF Zapper-Curve nahi mil raha ye size me... Kya karu?
Haven't ridden highness but I do agree with you regarding handling, it does feel bit heavy. After test driven Rs350, super meteor 650 felt lighter to flick around.
@@mdasifazad5 What wobbling issue? I never faced any wobbling issue in either the RS or the Hness. The most watched top speed video of the RS is mine. Wouldn't have been able to do that if the bike had a wobbling issue.
The RS is a much better bike than the Jawa. It handles better, the ride quality is better, seat is better, ground clearance is waayyyy better, and the reliability is in a different league altogether. As a bonus, the top speed of the Honda is now better too!
@@Ok-zb6cv Yes, the fuel efficiency of the Honda is again the best in segment. I am just 5'1" mate. 😊 But I can understand your issue as my younger brother is 5'9" and has short legs. But you don't need to flat foot on a motorcycle to ride it. Take it from me: the world's shortest motorcycle journalist. 😊
@@RealAutoReviews haha. And I added " might be the shortest but a potential best reviewer". Anyways, I'm hell confused between jawa 42 n rs. It's the looks of jawa tht attracts me the most. N rest, everything else in honda. I love to ride between 70_80kmph. But love that initial pickup/drag. Mostly I ride in city (it's not bumper to bumper condition here) n very rarely highway. What sd be a great buy for me.suggest.
@@Ok-zb6cv You made my day! Thanks a lot ❤️ I would recommend the Honda. The Jawas have teething issues (rust, inconsistent build quality, etc.) which is why I can't recommend it to you. And this is coming from an owner of the original two-stroke Jawa. Yes, my '73 Jawa 250 was my first motorcycle and I still have it. 😊
I bought an rs...but i hear a buzzing sound from the front side of the bike while riding...the showroom PPL.are.saying it is occuring in all RS....does it occur for u..any idea what is it ?
Nope. There was no sound in this bike. This was a media unit. Not my bike. But there was absolutely no sound. There shouldn't be! Which city are.you in?
@@RealAutoReviews before the first service...the buzzing sound was faint..but after the first service..it became louder....i am planning to go and check the bike in the showroom next week...i think it's the vibration of wires...no idea
honda highness and cb 350rs are 🔥 but rpm meter is missing right honda should have given two meters with some digital info like old cb 350 four if the meter was better, this bike would have been perfect
Thanks, mate! Have put in a request to RE for the GT 650 as I had reviewed the Conti 650 back in 2019. Those bikes haven't changed. So, will review the GT and talk about how it is different than the Conti. Will that work for you? 😃
@@RealAutoReviews sure , just wanted to see How's your comfort on interceptor . I do watched your Interceptor videos but those are concentrated only on the performance , so thought of asking you by comment 😅
@@vickyjohn5730 you are absolutely correct. The seat of the Interceptor is not comfortable. Also, don't carry your gf/wf on it unless you want a breakup/divorce. That said, adding some foam to the seat (and a new cover) isn't a costly affair, so not a problem that can't be taken care of. 😃
@@RealAutoReviews tq for the reply , sry if I'm taking more of your time , how about the seat height with respect to the weight of the bike , was it manageable in traffic .? I'm 5'4 by the way
@@vickyjohn5730 See, at 5'1" I had to wear my thick-soled boots that I have customized to test high bikes. At 5'4", you will be tip-toeing on both sides, which is absolutely fine while riding solo but could be tricky if you have a pillion. Take a test ride to determine that! And please do keep me posted 😃
@@RealAutoReviews i am planning to get highness, do you know shops of basic accesories of honda(after market but good)?? Can we contact if you live nearby too.??
@@Raviyadav9711664969 I always recommend to leave the bike absolutely stock for the first few months. That way if anything goes wrong, you can tell the company that it's not because of any aftermarket fitments. I tested the bike for over 500 km and didn't feel the need of any "accessories". I don't live in Dwarka. However, you may always connect with me here; I try to answer every question! 😊
regarding your comment at 2:40 on double honks, please encourage your viewers to avoid honking, guess we would enjoy our rides better if the roads were less noisy
My comment was NOT about "honking" but about Honda's miserly act of not giving this bike a dual unit despite charging more. As far as making our roads better is concerned, I intend to make a series of videos on it. Already made one on T-junction driving The next could be on "unnecessary honking" 😊 something
@@mertsagcan Oh that ways! 😁 But don't you worry, friends of your height at the shoot of both motorcycles confirm that they were absolutely comfortable. 😀
I think it was due to wind blast in your favour on that particular day. Try both of them on the same day on the same trip and yes in the same direction
No tailwinds, brother. Else I would have spoken about it. On the contrary, if you'll notice in that video, I say that it doesn't look like it would even touch 140! 😀
So Honda first launched the CB350 in India and called it the CB350 Highness (and spelt it as H'ness). Thereafter, they launched the CB350RS. Which country are you from, mate? 😃
@@RealAutoReviews The RE Meteor just came available here , so this one might just follow. Normally for German roads its way too slow, but we have 3 Motorcycle license categories here, so for the beginners it is interesting. And honestly, i always avoid highway driving so i would be interested also, nice for a sunday drive
See, like I said in the video, the RS is a great bike. It's just that the Highness not only has perfect ergonomics (you sit absolutely straight and comfortable), it also feels light everywhere, be it while manually pushing/pulling, or while on the move. That's why it gets my vote. 😃
Have ridden both. RS has a slightly straighter handle and Highness has curved one. That means sitting is better on Highness. But RS is much more beautiful than Highness And the highness seat is narrower. Hence the tip toe problems.
They say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Some find the Highness more beautiful; some like the RS more. Also, like I have mentioned in the review, the RS is a bit taller. Hence, it's not only the wider seat that makes it difficult for shorter riders.
Keeping the philosophy aside, Can u really say CD100 looks better than H'ness? U can't lie to your conscience. H'ness more comfortable RS looks better These r facts.....!!!! There could be some exceptions, like u think H'ness looks better.. But Generally, evryone ll like the looks of RS more
@@karunkeechira there is no philosophy in "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". It's a fact. Else, we wouldn't see the variety in design. Both the Highness and RS are beautiful bikes; the RS isn't decidedly better just because it sports a wider tyre 🤦
@@karunkeechira And don't say "everyone" when your statement takes into account only a few. Despite seeing the majority liking the Highness more than the RS, even I didn't say that everyone likes the Highness more. In fact, I have said it in the review itself that the RS looks beautiful. Which one looks more beautiful is a matter of personal tastes. Those who like "complete" motorcycles will like the Highness more; those who get the hacksaw (to cut the hugger) in their hands even before they get the RC of their NS, will like the RS more 😃
