Nice job. You need to zen yourself out before attempting the timing/alignment of the chain and LT mark. Take your time and you will get there folks.

Michael. Just noticed you installed a volt meter. Do you have a video out for that? Thanks for posting this vid . Very helpful.

Camshaft and rockers should touch evenly over the entire serface.

That's what I figured. I'm tempted to pull the cover at the end of the season and see how the replacement set is wearing.

Very helpful video. Keep doing CB350K videos please. I've worked on CBs for years and never saw a lifter worn on a small section of it's edge. Could be lifter face not ground to correct shape? What does Collective say?

I didn't ask about the strange wear pattern because I so focused on the pitting that caused the leak. I'm tempted to pull the head cover over the winter to see if the replacement set has the same wear pattern. Thanks for watching.

@@michaelsams450 I know the K models had two different types of cams and rockers. I have never worked on a G model. I suggest you give Common a call to check compatibility.

@@michaelsams450 I'll take a guess and say the lifter bushing hole is not straight.

@@danuhr4212 The '73 G model was basically a K with a front disc brake. It uses the same later ('70, '71, '72) style cam/rockers as the K models.

@@danuhr4212 Certainly possible. From my understanding they weld the face of the rockers and then grind them back to shape. It wouldn't take much to get that face slightly off and cause that wear pattern. Same for the cam itself.

HI Michael, thanks for sharing this information reg. cam shaft refurbishment made by common-motors. I have a similar issue with my rocker and cam shaft from Honda CB 250 G and wonder how is satisfactio after a year. I consider to order this rebuilt parts too. Maybe you have some experience to share. Best..

So far I haven't had any issues with the second set I received. The bike seems to run well and I haven't had any oil leaks like I did with the first set.
