So, the CB500 line is known for the Low Fuel Consumption…would that mod change the fuel consumption?

nope, it didnt change anything, still ranging from 3 to 3.5 l/100km

but how did you open the weld seams and close them again at the end?

I didnt, took off the silver part, cut out the end of the muffler (grey) and put silver cover back on muffler
