Gotta thank you for the float height vid ... helped me lots ..... just away to rebuild the brakes on my gsxr 750 so this should help me out :-))) ... again thank you .
Hi Cody, ive found a great mix of all your videos,im saving this & I will get back to it ,as soon as ive shared it with my Cheryl,I need some knowledge on caliper's,cool stuff Cody .
Great tip for pushing the pistons out before removing the caliper. I did this same job on my 1985 Shadow last year (dual front calipers) and missed that step. Two pistons were seized hard. I eventually got them with compressed air but it was a LOT of jacking around, and more dangerous....plus there may have been a few expletives. USE CODY'S METHOD.
Thanks for the tips! I'm pulling my rotors off shortly for a resurface and drill :). As you going through the CB900f, I know the charging systems are notoriously problematic. If you have any tips outside of testing rotor, stator, and reg/rec that would be awesome (I know those are the main components and fail points) mine all test okay and I'm still getting a voltage drop when the bike warms up. Take care and be safe!!! '82 CB900F with 19,500 miles...
Good tip on getting the pistons out of the caliper body! I'd also like to know about turning the rotors, is that done as opposed to replacing them with new rotors?
