In my opinion Honda never killed CBR250R it's the reviewers who killed absolute beast. In my opinion a sports tourer needs a good reliable engine and CBR's engine is the best in the segment till now even after the discontinuation, a sports tourer must be a comfortable one and yes CBR is so much more comfortable, needs an engine that heats less and to run as long as possible in a single stretch, which was done by CBR with ease, what else does it need Is it mandatory to have an LED indicator or headlight or the tail lamp or does a motorcycle need a gear position indicator to move All the reviewers are asking for LED indicator and stuffs no one talks about what the motorcycle capable of and that made many of the viewers to change their mind from CBR to other motorcycle. Which motorcycle is better option than CBR250R in the 2.5lakhs price range interms of reliability, durability, refinement, build quality, stability, comfort. There is none and yet the reviewers still talking about the fancy LED shits. In my opinion the design is never an outdated one i still love the design and the motorcycle is still have the safety features that a modern or the latest motorcycle in it's price range Even after 9 years no other manufacturer came with an engine that is the heart of a motorcycle that beats the CBR's engine interms of refinement. Another point is an engine kill switch that some reviewers keep saying about Honda The only use of the killswitch is to cutoff the power of the engine we do the same by turning the key off there is not much of a difference that is not a must have feature, but CBR has it and yet they keep teasing CBR for that too CBR is still the best choice in it's segment till this very date. It's the reviewers who killed CBR who made the people to change their minds and that resulted in poor sale of CBR and that's why they discontinued it from the market. Honda still gave us the best single cylinder motorcycle in the world. They don't change the design because they want the legacy of vfr to continue which was a great sports tourer that is the only reason they never changed the design and the reviewers teased for the design tooo. So in my opinion I'm again saying reviewers killed CBR Like and comment in my comment if anyone agrees my point
True, the reviews if revisited, shows how biased they were for the ktm, those bikes don't even last long enough. All they cared was comparisons. Was way back in 2012 or 14. Now people love this bike, hypocrisy ki bhi koi seema hoti hai!
You just spoke my heart out man....it's just sad that this bike is abused by Honda...a crying shame. Love you for bringing out this kind of offbeat topics, love your work 👌
I had one 2017 bs3 I'm loving it . still I feel 250r has superb realible and refined engine and it has way more tall gear ratio .you can hit 150kmph at 5th gear itself ! And powerdrift also says that this is the still fastest 250cc motorcycle in india.
Yes it is . Since it has DOHC engine lot of power is available in top end which helps it to hit top speeds easily . But bs4 was slow in comparison to 2011 cbr
what people don't understand is that CBR 250r was an international market bike and was replaced by CBR 300r in the west a long time ago and CBR 250rr in the east recently, so Honda didn't think it necessary to update this bike for one market alone. Their real mistake was actually not being able to bring the other two models and localize them as they did with this model.
I used to have 2013 cbr250r ABS version. Used it till February 2020. The only reason i sold this bike is because of the spare parts unavailability & cost of spares. The front disc pads costed 3200 & rear pads 2800. For 250cc single cylinder its too much. But reliability is on the moon. Love it to the core. Even today i miss it. I covered 94,000 kms with this bike.

One of the legendary bike murdered by its manufacturer itself. Smooth gear, Soft clutch, excellent braking and strong pull are its USP. Really sad to see this legend die...😭
I love its MotoGp Repsol Version till date.. It's feels like you are Dani Pedrosa.. Completely agree your opinion on honda, Honda should take Indian market seriously, We need more sports bikes rather than activa..
Nice.Honest passionate review.... After 2015 honda totally focussed on Activa and do everything to make it beat Splendor in Monthly sales, No R& D done for inhouse upgrade to BS6.... Legendary Bike. Smooth, Powerful Reliable Comfortable.
This bike is awesome. Me and my brother loves this bike. He is having 2019 cbr 250R. Bohot chamkata h bike ladkiyo ke saamne. Aman bhaiya Toyota Yaris ka Review lana Please.
@@arunragavendhar2338 because at that time no one bought sports bikes lol and they still mad enough profit but when the import tax increased then they discontinued it just because they didn't wanted to sell it anymore and focus on commuters Even a 2011 cbr250r will smoke duke 250 anyday
Thank you so much brother..for making this vlog. Because I was eagerly waiting fr this type video. And all the things that u said were so true and great. God bless you.
I owned both cbr 250 and 150 for last 10 years(almost), and still feel its my dream bike. Honda is Honda because of CBR. But ab lagta hai HMSI should change to HSMI ( Honda Scooter Manufacturers of India). Its high time or they launch something good nehi to iska bhi decline suru ho jayega Hero or Nokia ki tarah.
Prayagraj up mai abhi bhi ek CBR hai for sell jo company registration pe hai yellow colour mai with all updates which it receives last time like led headlights and the colour scheme
Mere pass cbr 250r 2012 model hai. Its a amazing bike. Main apni bike ko 113000km run kar chuka hoon. Aaj bhi isme koi kami nahi hai. Main daily 100km run karta hoon or mujhe 100-110 speed par bhi ye kabhi 38 se kam Milage nahi deti. Its a awesome bike in his segment. Awesom engine refinement, suspension is very good not to much hard or not too soft. Seat is very comfortable, Gear box and cluth is very very good. Inetial pick up is good but mid range is Amazing. Tyres is not good according to bike. Go for mischlein pilot street or metzellar. Thoda parts ka issue hota hai service centers pe. Service bilkul bhi costly nahi hai. 1700-1800 rs mein Fully synthetic oil k sath ho jati hai. Service interval 5000 ka hai. Lovely bike.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
2011 mein kafi advanced features k sath honda ne ise launch kia tha. Iska combi abs jaisa function ab jake bikes mein aaya hai. 6 speed gearbox with liquid cooling technology. Is bike k jaisa accorate fuel meter or speedo meter maine kisi bike mein nahi dekha. Or iska speedo meter front wheel se connected hi nahi hai. Engine se connected hai. Jo bike features loaded thi. Usko honda ne update hi nahi kia. Is bike k Disconnected hone pe bahut sad feel hua tha. But ye soch ke bahut achha lagta hai. Ki iska proud owner hoon. Love my bike❤️❤️
Bro same....i have been saving money from last 2 years and need few months more to get this bike and then Honda discontinued it. Still waiting for Honda to launch CBR150R and 250R.
@noor hasan yt Chutiya mtlb tmhra hisaab se KTM 4 wheeler bikes bnati isilye to tu bol rahey ke KTM har company se alag hai 😐😒... mei ye nhi bola ke KTM faaltu bikes bnati ...Ha lkn jb supersport ki baat ho to KTM Jesi company Yamaha or Kawasaki And Honda jesi companies ko nhi compete kr skti in every espect
Here are some things I want to share.. I own honda cbr since 2011. So 9 years I bought it when It was launched. Have clocked about 70k. Ok here are my thoughts.. Its not that I dont hate it.. i love it that's y i still have it.. but if i have to speak the truth it's a vanilla bike.. like ktm rider like RC390 rider might find it kinda like meh.. but I know it's not something we can compare it. With.. although I can say this.. it's good at everything but do not excell at a specific field.. like you can do good cornering if you do some things on the bike like lower the front forks.. like in short it's a basic bike which you can turn it into your need according to your taste.. and yes the engine is super refine and reliable.. although I will tell you this the spare parts are kinda expensive like for me clocking 70k I did change some parts of it. Like fuel pump that cost me about 12k. Radiator coz some kids poked it.. so about 7.5k etc etc.. usual cost are like ok.. in short all I can say is.. this is a bike that you can change according to your riding taste with some minor mods.. also to mention the exhaust sound is super quiet in lower Rpm and produces a basy rumble in higher rpm. The comfort is really good, gearshift is smooth and the clutch super lite.. although I can say the brakes are not so good ( non abs). like you can upgrade to steel breaded lines for better braking. And power is smooth and linear. The max I have taken this bike is 162kmph on a long stretch.. and average cruising you can do easily from 60kmph to 125kmph without making the engine sound like its crying. Ideal for long tours.. if you have anything to ask ya can ask me I would love to answer those questions.. o yes the stock conti go tyres are piece of sh*t. Upgrade to either pirelli sports dragon or diablo rosso II or Michelin pilot sport or metzellers. Feel free to ask..
Dude I'm thinking of buying a used 250r. So how is the spares availability? Is there something that I need to keep in mind from an ownership perspective?
@@AnandA2155 hmm.. well it all depends upon where you live.. like major cities you will get.. but like towns and small cities you will get the basic ones.. like engine oil coolant brake pads and all.. like say if there are somethings that is like major like radiator grill or fuel pump.. you might have to wait for the spare parts .. to be honest I will share with you one of my experience.. I wanted to change the flaring of the bike coz after some time the clips that hold the flaring tends to break.. so. I had to wait like 15 days for the flaring and when it arrived it came mismatch colours I couldn't wait for another 15 to 20 days so I painted the new flarings.. like wise the radiator grill took me about 20days to arrive.. and please keep this in mind that I live in siliguri which has 3 honda showrooms and 3 workshops and one honda spare parts supplier.. It still takes time.. the plus point is engine dosent break down providing you maintain it.. so if you want to buy a CBR 250r I think you should go with it providing you check some key things.. like rattle and alignment of flarings, brake master cylinder tends to jam up.. listen for ticking sound on engine.. it can be timing chain tensioner or even whole camshaft so.. also check for weird noises from the engine.. coz engine parts are like very expensive.. like I did my engine overhaul not that it was necessary but bcs I had crossed the mark of 50k on my odo.. total cost came to 45k.. I thought it would be done about 10k. Although this engine can run smoothly upwards 1lakh km so.. just see if the bike is maintained properly and no wried stuff is added to the bike.. like cone airfilter and extra lights and stuff coz it can get pretty nasty in long run ownership. Hope its helpful for you.. and if there is anything you wanna know more feel free to ask.
Hi mate, even I'm considering getting one.. Few questions: how's the pillion comfort? And fuel efficiency? Like what's the best you can extract from it? Ever felt lack of power? Thanks
@@surajisagoodboy well in case of million comfort it's honestly superb coz the seat is kinda big compare to other bikes of this class.. its more comfortable than Duke too.. the seats are plush and trust me not just pillion seat even the rider seat is super comfortable.. as for kmpl it gives decent mileage of around 30kmpl so that's good. And power is good. Like you wont feel the aggressive push but then the response is linear and smooth in all rev range. The riding itself is smooth like the suspensions are good and engine refinement is superb.. you won't feel an ounce of vibrations in the handle bar.. like compare to other single cylinder motor.. I have done trips of about 350km with pillion on this bike and it's ok... actually even better than enfield classic and Thunderbird.. the small thing that I think can come is the foot rest for the rear is a bit short.. well that you can add a bracket and drop down a little other than that the seat itself is super comfy.
@@denkaizen6457 appreciate your reply mate, also would like to know your thoughts on these ECUs which increases bikes power ( power tronic or dynojet power commander) are they worth it and downsides/ effects on bike for long term use. Thanks
proud owner of cbr 250r bs4...this bike puts some so called sports bikes to shame with its cruise speed...trust me...i've done 120+ kmph all day with zero fatigue...
kuyn ki india me splendor ct100 jaisa 100-125cc kam budget wala bikes hi bikte hai. cant blame company. bitter truth is ppl dont have that much budget to invest in a 250cc or higher.
Uska dash display almost like sp125. Almost fz jaisi harkat hai. Yes I love the japanese engine but ye log kuch zyada hi cost cutting karte hai especially us cheez pe jo rider ne khud har samay dekhni hi hai, graphics to baaki logon ko dikhega
I don't expect much from honda now. Hornet is supposed to be leading bike in 150 cc segment but it fails terribly. There is rtr 160, mt15 and now even extreme 160 which are much better deal then hornet. I think that hornet 200 will just deliver the same performance as mt15 in just name of 200 cc cause mt and r15 has the same performance as 200 cc bikes. I want Honda to launch a 200 cc bikes which can compete with 250 cc bikes or atleast should be better than rest 200 cc bikes. Cause Honda, yamaha, kawa, suzuki they are known for their name and technologies.
i stil own one. I love it . calm normally but agressive when I need it to be . I have done some chip mods to make it go even faster . crossed 180. but my sweet spot is 120
When the Bike Was Launched 2011 We Bought One And for The Past 9 Years We Have Been Riding The Bike The Bike Was Bought By My Father And Then It Came To Me I Have Been Riding This Bike For 3 Years And I Will Honestly Tell This That That Is Cool Refined Means Pura Paisa Wasool Bike . In Love . But Don't Know What Has Happened To Honda Now Hoping The CB 200 Hornet Will Make A Difference
it's good that Honda closed the chapter on CBR 250(who knows they may bring it back), the thing going for the motorcycle is its cost of ownership for ones who do just commute, add touring to commute the reliability becomes questionable, engine-wise knowing HONDA new stickers make them go faster ;) they did since 2012, guessing 2018 (led headlights model) and knowing the motorcycle its a rare motorcycle to see on the road and rarer to see a Non-ABS version, that in itself is proof, sales is not good for the Japanese brand in India.. also, it's Japanese they sell their higher-end (150cc) motorcycle at a premium always eg; Yamaha R3> CBR650F first-gen & CBR250 after KTM200 launch
In the college days I had a crush on KTM did test ride and liked it very much but my dad got me the CBR250R(which was costlier than the KTM200) stating better rear seat and overall comfort. I must say after almost owning the CBR250R for 10years , it was the right decision to go for the CBR250r. This bike has not given me a single issue yet, back in the days I was a constant redliner and a rough user of bikes but my oh my this bike never gave me trouble apart from the corrupt service centers. Agar ktm le hoti to mai pakka sure hu mere abhi tak boht paise lag gaye hote repair and maintenance par, this is by far the best 4 stroke quarter litre bike in the market and honda forsaked it for activas and commuter bikes. Honda India ke customers ko Danda hi deta rha hai, rebel300 bhi launch nahi ki to RR kahan se launch karti. I am sure the rebel300 would have been a game changer for the cruiser segment here in India.
