purchased my 98 cbr 600 this year,16,000 miles,i love it,plenty fast enough and handles well.definitely a keeper, not to keen on all the electronics on the modern bikes, just more to go wrong.!
Level bike, isn't it? I do have exactly the same from 1998. Bought it 2 years old in year 2000 and I'm still loving it. Now in Oct. 2020 it has 35,300 kms on the speedometer and it still runs perfectly. Online modification I did is a BOS aluminium exhaust pipe. Best regards and stay healthy from Northern Germany. Guten Tag Stefan, did you think that bike will be good for someone 195 cm tall? I want use it going to work and back maybe some weekend ride? Danke for any reply
Heartily agree with all your comments. Its my first bike in the middleweight segment and has been a delightful transition. The power is not intimidating, but it has potency when asked for. The brakes are powerful compared to my Ninja 300 abs, and nothing compares with its "burble" at idle. Solid on the road and capable in all situations. Thanks for your review.
I've spent quite a bit of time riding a friends F3 and I owned an F4 for a couple of years, great bikes. The only sport bikes I've owned that was more comfortable and easier to ride for long periods was my YZF600R Thundercat, that bike is outrageously comfortable to ride. Haven't had a bike for a couple of years now but I'm probably going to get an F4 or a Thundercat.
Thank you for your video, now 2020 and i watched this as im looking for my first big bike ! Cbr600f's pop up alot for a cheap run around. Also a local ipswich lad cool too see some familiar places.
how did it go? im ipswich, rushmere, not riden in 30 years, was going for an 1100 blackbird but got advised i would die in about 3 miles so thinking of one of these.
This was my first "big" bike. I didn't really know how to ride it. Then it got stolen. Then I got a GSXR 1000 K5 which, although much faster and more powerful, was not as practical and pretty uncomfortable too compared to the F3. The weight of the CBR is actually quite useful on down hill roads. Under heavy braking the back of the K5 came up pretty easily. For a track I would want the GSXR thou, but for a very nippy and capable all-rounder I would prefer the CBR. Beautiful bike! P.S. The GSXR 1000 got stolen too. Always use a padlock.
Hi guys, My CBR 600CC 1999FY I face some technical problems that is cooling system over heating. If anyone can advise to soft is problem. Best Regards Supra
Drop bottom water hose, put a new Thermostat in and new water and also the engine temperature sensor (Clean or replace) then check if the bike is running rich.. and check fins on water pump.. sport bikes rev high and wear fast.. proper cooling makes it last longer ;o)
@@livehappycoaching4346 I have two CBR600 FTs. One has covered just under 70k miles and the other, just over. I personally have put 40k on one and 20k on the other. Neither use oil, rattle or smoke and neither have been rebuilt or had ANY engine work other than routine servicing. Both average 45 - 60 mpg depending on type of usage - these figures have not changed over the years I've owned the bikes. Wear fast, you say? You might expect them to, but they don't!
