Own the V CVT version and agree with you on all points. As for the headlight is costly due to being an LED unit. Most are expensive irrespective of the brand. Honda should improve the camera and head unit. 360° camera would be a welcome along with ventilated/heated seats. Also, miss the dynamic reversing guide lines. Though not deal breaker but for the price charged, it would be much appreciated to have them. Except for a few creaks and bottom scrapes on horrendous stretches in Himalayas, I am in love with this car. Thanks for sharing your POV.✌🏻🙏

You did cover most points, I would like to add some. * Engine - City 4th gen is PFI (better reliable), 5th is GDI (fuel octane no: & oil dilution (petrol mixing with oil matters). upgrading from SOHC to DOHC is good if ur remapping, else not an advantage. 4th gens power to weight ratio is better, but don't have 6th gear ( can be upgraded coz 4th gen diesel got it, it works with 4th gen petrol engine) Power delivery from an NA engine is seamless comparing with a turbo. An NA induction noise is orgasmic. Japanese are known for their petrol heads (Honda is pinnacle) & Germans for their diesels * Transmission - Most Japanese manuals are top notch (light & short travel clutch. short shifting gear leaver) and Honda is the best. VW/ Germans concentrate mostly on auto gears coz of their luxury nature. * Chassis - Honda got light weight (interest of fuel efficiency & power), that is good on twisty roads, coz we don't feel turning weight on steering wheel much, but on highways beyond 130+ feels wobbling. VW is exact opposite. its cabin insulation don't make us hear its engine / wind / tire sounds. * Steering - Both brands got similar turning response, but weightiness / tightness is different. Honda is super light at stop turns (must in city), weighs till 120 km/hr, beyond that wont get harden. VW is exact opposite, a bit hard at city tight turns. 5th gen steering wobbles/no response are center head position, not 4th gen. *Suspension - 4th gen and VW are similar (hard). 5th gen is bit soft. VW rear semi independent suspension is better than city torsion beam(5th gen got soft, so good ride), but if over loaded (rear & boot), will need a replace. * Efficiency - Honda beats VW any day, coz its light weight A Naturally aspirated engine can run till 2.5 lakh without any much hazels. A turbocharged may do the same till 1.5 lakhs, unless the one who using it know how to "drive & service" it religiously. I never blame a brand. Its the user to blame. Its been many centuries brands making IC engines !!

i'm on the cusp of 10000km now, wonderful review Ripesh ji. I get around 16-17 on highway and 12-13 in the city limits. I'm a pretty conservative driver so the lag wasn't a deal breaker. Convenience in traffic and CVT was what I wanted and am very happy about it. I hope we will have a pleasant motoring in future with City CVT...Another thing I noticed is the sunroof opening closure can be a bit shoddy, always get a feeling, it hasn't closed properly. Your thoughts?

I have the same spec model just golden brown and also my ownership experience matches with you. If you really want to get rid of the noises, don't ask honda to do it, find those noises and get them damped. I have done it in my whole car which costed me around 20k and you will really feel the difference. It will be converted to Rolls Royce from Honda City in terms of NVH levels. Thanks

Mera to 2018 model h Honda city ka but all 3 isuue I m also facing . 1 Cabin noise : mere gadi me driver seat door , dashboard me 2 infotainment system is not good 3 headlamp issue..

Overall a very good car but yes sometimes cabin noise is there...

Hey Drive Craft nice review. I own ZX CVT covered more than kms15k in 10 months. It's really comfortable for long drives, I had done kms1000 in a day and the car was running pretty well no fatigue. I agree headlamps are good till kmph 80 but for kmph100 or above they are inadequate. I don't miss anything in car. Have you tried cruise control? And cruise control resume function? Use it and you will get to know how fast it is. It is no slouch just use paddle shifters and it races ahead even in D mode. We are not paying to HONDA 17 lakhs almost 50% going in taxation. So we are paying to government from our hard earned money in return don't expect anything. No issues of GC on any kinds of road. I covered kms6500 in 15 days passed 6 states and never felt any issues. It was pure bliss to drive.

very honest review. I have same 10000km driven city and I feel the same neck to neck. Aur ye i nterion k kis corner se noise ati hai. Bahut kosis ki pta karne ki, But pta nai chala. one more thing. HONDA pls update the infotainment with wireless apple carplay.

Hello Bhai. This was probably the most elaborate review. Just wanted to check if you're happy with the plastics and the metal quality where lot of people seem to be complaining. While I'm all in on city, my parents having been pushing me to consider Creta for it better build( I know it's not light years ahead) but feels stronger. Appreciate your time.

Actually white light is not good for night highway driving. I find yellow light of Innova Crysts is best in this regard. I can't find reason why companies are providing white led lights? Is this only for look? Wireless charger of Hyundai charges 10% in 1 hour. Better is the 12v power socket. To me it is useless feature. Ventilated seat is somewhat useful but not a dealbraker for any car like sunroof.

Heads-up display should have been a must for the the price Atleast for the vz The plastic in front should be a bit confortive rather than hard plastic Maybe electric seat adjustments Ventilated seats Rear seat cup holder is slanty and doesn't help rest arms for Tall people. Fit and finish in the interior should be acute.

Bhai merko leni h new car, meri first car hogi and I took test drive today and as u mentioned rubberband effect, aawaj aai jab speed increase kri. i want to know ye sound kitni der tk rhti h coz test drive me jyada kuch nhi pta lga. 17lkh is a huge amount to bht fatt rhi h itna invest krte time.

1 - Major issue with 5th gen petrol manual city , Which I am sure most of them wouldn't have noticed .THERE IS BREAK IN POWER DELIVERY ON SECOND GEAR AT 1500 RPM ONLY IF THE AC ON . and that's the major annoying issue . Please do a reply if you are facing the same❌❌❌ 2 - Infotainment Sucks (no wireless airplay) 3 - Rear camera not visible at noon in infotainment. 3 - Worst stock tires. 4 - noise from dashboard (can be fixed i guess)

Very good review brother.... I am also facing few major issues in my new VX CVT which I feel is basically manufacturing defects which again is shocking as this is a Honda car and Honda was known for superior quality: 1. Mist formation on the front windshield when using wiper during rain. Defogger is not effective. This is making driving very difficult during rains as it is practically not possible to see clearly and I am worried that this might cause an accident. What is shocking is that a Rs 17 lakh car comes with such basic manufacturing defects which I have never experienced in my Rs 5 lakh Maruti car also which is 4 years old now. 2. 360-degree camera is horrible. Video quality is very poor and the video feed on the screen is inverted. The whole purpose of taking a 360-degree camera is to remove blind spots while turning right/left or taking reverse. This camera only adds to the blind spots making it even worse. Due to the inverted video, it becomes very confusing and can actually cause accidents. Such products should actually be banned by the govt. Any company selling such dangerous products should be held accountable for any accidents caused by the driver. 3. Noise when pressing the brake peddle at slow speeds. Again not sure what is causing this but definitely during bumper-to-bumper traffic this noise is very unpleasant and should not be coming from a car made by Honda. 4. I am also waiting for the Honda Connect App login detail Have u also faced any of the above issues???
