2000 kms running a month, with a mileage difference of 8 KMPL, is a big figure. The normal petrol variant will consume around 133 litres that will cost ₹13,300 (considering petrol price of ₹100/litre), where as the Hybrid variant will consume around 86 litres that will cost ₹8,600 a month. So, it works out to a cost difference of around ₹4,700/month. Considering the price difference of ₹4.5 lakhs between the models, it would take almost 96 months or 8 years of running to recover the extra cost of Hybrid over the regular petrol variant. 8 years is a massive time in a vehicle's lifetime. So, to each their own. 😃

56,250 km run to cover 4.5 lac extra So it worth if we keep it for 1.5 lac km But in between battery and motor fails then this technology is stupid But if it save environment then it's OK

Hello we have city hybrid 2022 Long time watching first time commenting and I appreciate your mileage reviews as on highway they are mostly realistic. But The problem is your city driving is not at all realistic with people who drive 2000-3000 kms inside the city . Most are working people working 10-6 jobs .means that their driving hours are peak traffic 8.30am-9.45am. In evening its even worse 6.15pm-8pm for an avg 45kms drive. Driving 120-130 kms daily out of which 50-60% of their actual drive is at less than 25-30 speed in bumper to bumper . Our diesel car gives 15-16 with light foot driving. Hybrid returns 24.5 ish (tested tank to tank) . We have done 20000kms in 8 months or so . VW virtus 1L returns 7-8kmpl on the same route btw I had also seen your review claiming that the newer one’s adas don’t track lanes properly , i tested it and found that when lane size is wider than a truck by 1-2 feet those issues happen.

Buying Hybrid is pure waste of money as apart from running cost, we also have to calculate the inflation and diminishing rupee. So, I think no one can recover the cost

If your daily driving is near about 50km you will recover that 4L rupees in 11 years! Totaly not worth for tha aspect that money can be used somewhere else but honda’s ev is the best currently in india in the segment upto 50L

Hybrid have low milage..🤔👇 As per this calcualtion. Hybrid vs normal city price difference 4.5 to 5lakh. So. Normal city kharid ke baki 4.5lk ko business me invest karo ya intrest pe laga do.. to investment ke 2% ke hisab se profit return calculate kare to.. Per month amount earning 9000rs milage. Aur Jab tab gadi chalegi ye difference ka earning hoga..jab car purana hoga to uske price kum hoga.. But.. Aapka invest ya interest vala paisa 4.5lk Vapas milega.. aur 9000 per month earing kiya wo Alag.. So as per Gujju calcualtion Normal city is much Affordable on milage.. because normal city have less price to buy. Hybrid is good but wo diesel wale difference price me aaye to..baki itna bada price difference is not good deal.

In Mumbai price diff. Is 5.34lac😮, and saving is just 2.2rs per km in 100% city drive, that mean 2000km monthly drive for near to 10year + to just recover initial price gap, that near to 2.4lac km, I'm talking about city drive only, if 50% city and 50% highway drive then it will near to 4lac km 😂, regular petrol will be my choice

Technically, while calculating one should also account for price increase of petrol. Over the years , the return rate will drop more for petrol rather than hybrid.

I had a HONDA CITY CVT 4th GEN… mileage was 6kmpl 😂😂 used SPORTS MODE Paddle shift in city and enjoyed the PULL 😅😂😅

You can save approximately Rs. 225 per 100 km at current prices if you drive hybrid since it consumed approx 2.3 litres less fuel. For someone like me with monthly city driving of 1000 km in NCR, i can save Rs. 25000 annually assuming 100% city driving. Those savings are not sufficient to justify the price gap as it will take 8 yrs to save 2 lakh in fuel. However, people with run of 2000 kms monthly will benefit from it. However, the depreciation of battery plays a key role in final decision making as it will affect sale price

My running is 2000 per month. So it will take 7.5 yrs to recover... No sense to go for hybrid which also reduces boot space drastically 😂

4 lac price difference. Now let's calculate, 100inr = petrol (average price), 12kmpl car average 400000÷100= 4000litres 4000×12= 48000kms I guess, after 48000kms I would like to change my car. 😅
