The City e:HEV costs Rs 5 lakh and Rs 4.61 lakh more, on-road Delhi, than top-end Petrol CVT and Diesel MT variants, respectively. Do you think it offers enough for you to consider it over its ICE siblings?

It is inevitable for Honda to launch cheaper spec variant of ehev city to bump up sales bcos not everyone needs adas and sunroof etc

If fuel economy and savings are your priority The petrol or diesel manual base variants makes the most sense

The hybrid is all great and nice, But when it comes to hilly areas and highway fuel efficiency There's no beating the diesel powertrain Extracting the highest figures from the hybrid some requires hybrid knowledge, more patience and increased focus towards the drive monitor over the road, Where as anyone can achieve astonishing figures in a diesel and the experts can exceed companies claimed figures just like that. Overall running costs aren't significantly lower, yet the hike over the ICE equivalent is a bit too much. Oh, also around the 90K to 120K kms mark, the battery's capacity will drop by a significant amount, impeding that precious fuel economy, and replacing (most of you will due to Indias climate and driving styles) that's gonna cost you atleast 3 lakhs in today's money.

Better buy an suv like Toyota Hyryder than this one, we get more space, more ground clearance and a big car for this price

True, SUVs are practical choice for India but can not deny the fact that SUVs can never match the comfort and driving pleasure of a sedan. I personally feel Honda is much better built than Toyota/Maruti so called SUV.

@@AkshayNariyani This is changing with the new SUVs. I believe,even these high stance SUVs are providing a comfortable ride quality similar to sedans. More over with the growing potholes on roads, better be careful than sorry after buying these low riding sedans. This is my opinion. Rest upto everyones ineterest and purchasing capability.

City is offering adas which is very useful and bigger boot compare to vitara or hyrder hybrid.

With more cities in India expected to follow new Delhi's lead in banning diesel cars older than 10 years old and increasing cost of meeting BS6 norms, Honda and other manufacturers are expected to phase out diesel engines completely
