No, the master stays the same. It's just the prop valve that is different. You take the one from a non-abs car.

I got the non abs proportioning valve from the scrap yard and the lines from Canadian tire.

@@LupienLife what are the specific sizes for all the lines? Did you replace the whole line?

@@rob_de_jonghe1184 I replaced the line completely from caliper to valve. The copper lines can be bent by hand and cost a couple bucks more. The normal lines are easy to bend with pliers though. I believe it's standard metric line. A quick Google search will give you the exact answer. It's the ones with the blue tip usually

Sure, you could do that with the correct fittings. The lines are pretty inexpensive, and if your old ones aren't in great shape, it's a good time to do them.

@@LupienLife I figured it was doable. The lines On mine are only 3 years old, so they're still good.

Its been a minute but the rear brake lines are the same for both. The lines go from the back right to the valve. Shouldn't need to change them unless theyre rusted out.

Great question! Ultimately I removed it to make the engine bay cleaner and less crowded. More room for extra performance parts like a catch can. It also simplies all the systems that require maintenance. When these cars came out, 80% of them didn't have abs and it was only added to increase the value of the em1 since it was their top line vehicle in 2000. Abs isn't as much of a safety feature as airbags are. Abs in these older vehicles doesn't work very well honestly and I personally prefer not to have it. It only really kicks in under poor weather or very hard breaking and I don't even drive this car in the rain. Back roads on a Sunday so I felt the removal was worth the gains!

Hello, I have Honda civic EK with B18C4 swap, but it is 1995 and in this year were civics without ABS. One question, what is better for touges and racing? With or without ABS and why?

@@matejbeinhauer3526 i guess that’s depending on you, without abs you need a little more skills to drife through corners, i hope its right what i tell you, im not realy a racing knower i build my car for show
