I just use a wire wheel on a drill to get the honda bond off. Over the year in have always preferred the oem sealants they just save you a lot of hassle with leaks later on. Thanks for supporting the channel..
I have a question also about bearing clearance that you installed. There can be some gap when you do without checking. Is it important to install bearings with 0-0.1 mm clearance as I saw on other video or it doesn't matter you think. Thanks
Diff bearings are NTN's TMB-208-CZ 80*40*18mm (single-shield). Bearings were installed backward in this guide; the TMB-208-CZ bearings should have the shield facing out to my understanding (otherwise they would use TMB-208-C bearings). I have a mugen m200 but jacked up the front, put it in 1st gear and spin the wheel by hand, and I saw the other wheel went the opposite direction? Does this mean I don’t have one?
@@driftcarsjp thank you for the reply, i have tried various screwdrivers but the bearing just wont budge above a certain point. i can get the circlip over the bearing but not sitting in the groove, any further tips? Great videos by the way.
@@tojannetworks6466 have you tried tapping the clip down so it locates? Also if you have the box casing bolted down. Fit the shifter and select gears and then neutral as you may have a gear partially selected.
@@driftcarsjp thank for the advice, the clip sits in it own groove so tapping it down might not work, with the casing off i can lift the shaft by hand, it seems there is engough lift to make the circlip. i have not bonded the box down yet as i had this trouble and wasted the first lot of hondabond lol, i will have a go at fitting the selector and see how that goes. cheers for your help much appreciated.
@@tojannetworks6466 the clip is hard to fit when removing it seems like there is plenty of movement. When refitting it takes a bit off effort. Sucks after you have fitted new sealant.
