Probably would've easier to cut with an exacto knife. Would've been slightly cleaner and less mess. Good job though. Just bought a 2010 civic and I've been enjoying your videos
@@dannysdiygarage Hi Danny, I hope you are well! Yes, a little work to implement. Here I set it to activate automatically when I move from R to D, this helps with some maneuvers as the camera is positioned below the plate. My equipment is similar to yours, mine is from the JMCQ brand, to implement it you need a camera like the one in the video you used, stick the new camera into the RCA video out and look for a positive and negative wire (you can also install a relay to activate only when there is a pulse from the multimedia center), look for something like "reverse" configuration and activate (in this option you can change a few seconds so that it remains active, here I left it at 10 seconds). So every time you go from R to D, it will appear for a few seconds and then return to the screen. Hope this helps.
The fastest processor in Dasaita brand is only 6G, 64ROM while Podofo brand is 8G RAM, 128G ROM they both run the same Octa core . I just got one from Amz, but it seems the unit has been upgraded from iDoing unit. I'm surprised that they used your pics in manual Danny. The reason I didn't buy from Dasaita because they don't have one with 8G RAM, 128G ROM. Also, I don't wanna grind on the back side of panel like you did to make it flush . I saw you made a video with iDoing headunit from a year ago . Is it still good? which one start up and load faster ?
It looks nice but It was So Difficult to see the actual connections because the video didn’t showed very well the rear of that radio . You was holding the radio on one hand and Recording with the other one. So It was Difficult to see very well .
Hello, I am new to your channel and you guided me through the installation of a DASAITA player for my 2007 Honda Civic, but I have a problem and it is the following: connect the main power supply cable and the screen does not turn on, I contacted DASAITA and they sent me a new one and the same thing happens, I would like to know if you have any idea what could be happening
love your vids could you show me how to do the EGR valve i drive a Honda civic hybrid 2010. took to get diagnosed they are charging me $1600 to do the job
Thanks for the great video. I have a question, please: Based on your experience, is Dasaita car radio good? I had a bad experience a month ago with that car radio. The seller sent me a damaged unit.I would like to invest my money in something good.
Hi Danny! Great video. I just ordered this head unit to install. I drive about 24k miles a year and have felt like Apple CarPlay could help with my commute. Few questions; how have you felt about the unit so far? Would you still recommend it for my 2006 civic? I recently bought it with only 33k original miles!! Another, is it possible to use streaming applications such as RU-vid, Netflix, Or Hulu WHILE driving? Lastly, is it possible to set up steering wheel controls if my car doesn’t already have any?? Thank you!!!
The link to the 2006 to 2011 Honda Civic unit goes to 2012 unit. Verify the correct link for the unit and backup camera for the 2009 Honda Civic..Thanks you
I ordered and installed the same unit on my 2009 civic ex model followed the same steps and the unit turns on some days and other days i go to start my car and its a black screen, did you have the same issue?
I still have that one also, two Civics, I’ll do a video soon on which one is better, as of now they are pretty even, Dasaita has what I think a better interface and is more user friendly, idoing fired up a little faster, no issues with either one at this point, but I’ll let you know soon

Doe anyone uses the Dasaita head unit with link for wireless connection? When I use mine to connect my phone to the head unit, it's really a hit and miss, and I end up just connecting through the wire which is what I really wanted to avoid doing
@@dannysdiygarage thanks for the confirmation ! I will wait maybe to get that Honda I’m selling my current car but I’m studying what my options are and it seems that taking a 15 years model like a Civic 8 and upgrading myself some of the electronics options is a valid economic option. Again thank you for your precious guide and sharing your experimentations to everyone
Yeah, those USBs hanging is not acceptable, for that money they should include a replacement cover from where you drilled the hole to put actual connectors, not hanging wires
@@dannysdiygarage Amazon for sure has many but they should at least give it as an option imo, what are you going to do about the hole you already did? Hahaha it was kind of close to the edge, look for an angled adapter or you can just get a wireless CarPlay adapter and keep every inside the dash with no cables at all
The cover that the USB’s come out, it’s actually hidden, the hole is not visible, therefore it’s not a issue, I’m actually okay with the way it is, however if there is a cleaner looking option, I’m all for it
@@Yah1r8yeah, my original amp that comes in the car was the issue. There was TOO much power to the speakers so they stopped working. I had to cut the wires from it and my speakers and directly connect them, removing the amp from the equation. It works great now. 😅
I’m all about OEM, I try to use factory parts as much as I can, however aftermarket prices can be a fraction of the cost, also things like multimedia players, lots of choices, just gotta do your research, I’ll do a follow up review on this unit soon, so far good
