Honda Civic Squeaky clutch fix 

I've just bought my second FN2 Type R GT. The first one suffered from this issue and the latest one also. However, following your advice, both clutches stopped squeaking after a few sprays of 2 in 1 grease. Many thanks for posting the video. Its stopped an awful problem from ruining the experience of an otherwise excellent car. :)

Do not use WD 40 - this is to anuyone posting here. Use as author, a white teflon/lithium spray grease for such purposes. WD can be dangerous for all gaskets etc + it collects the dirt very easilly. The grease used on video here opposite -- is not attracting dirt and dust.

It is indeed a bastard squeaky clutch! Typically I've run out of WD, will have to get some more, thanks for the video.

I have the same problem on my 2020 Si Coupe. I'm really hoping it's nothing serious as I know it's very expensive for a new clutch. Hopefully this solves the problem. Thanks for the video. I'll give this a try.

If following this video doesn’t work - as lubricating the springs and other surfaces didn’t work for me. It’s specifically the piston that is attached to the floor of the footwell that needs lubing. It helps to remove the two sensor switches to gain better access. But you just need to spray in where the threaded part disappears into the piston. It doesn’t mean the transmission is bad does it? Feels smooth some people say replace the master cylinder but spraying lithium grease fixed the issue

It's not only honda, had lexus is200 2003 also was squeaky clutch

Exact same problem on a 2007 Accord.

Honda Civic as well as Jazz suffer with this "BASTARD SQUEEKY CLUTCH".......PLUS the faulty clutch design..The isdue is the FAILED CLUTCH MECHANISM design...its poorly engineered and the clutch is a WIMP so depressing it becomes heavier and Hense the mechanism takes more pressure than it should so it DEVELOPS SQUEAKY BASTARD EFFECT. My clutch became so heavy to depress that my left knee started giving me problems...I replaced the complete clutch, 3 in 1, and it was so light to use for a month and it went back to being a "BASTARD HEAVY CLUTVH" AGAIN. HONDA GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER...Ive had it changed on my 05 1.7 ctdi and on my 08 Civic 2.2ctdi.... My son just purchased a 14 plate Jazz as the Honda range are reliable....BUT within 3 weeks guess what "BASTARD CLUTCH ISSUE?" PLEASE START A FORUM HERE ADD YOUR CLIPS COMPLAINTS LETS SHAME HONDA FOR SUCH A POORLY SHIT DESIGN...

My honda jazz has same problem.

How long did it last?

Buy a decent clutch from CG motorsport and replace the slave cylinder and it’s sorted
