The Honda Civic Type R FN2 generation is already a somewhat controversial generation of the iconic Civic lineage, with softer manners and a more UFO esque appearance.
In this much rarer Mugen trim though, and with only 200 built, it begs the question of if buying one is actually worth it, given that many Type R models are only great when pushing them hard, making these hot hatches distinctly more 'trackday toy' than 'daily hero' in practice...

Yeah i kinda agree with most of the comments in the video, i bought a fn2 type R a few months ago for £2800, it's a bit rough around edges but drove great on test drive, after an oil change, filters an plugs, k an n panel filter, and some 99 ron it really woke it up, i use it daily and i love it and seems plenty quick enough in normal driving, after 2000 miles of driving i can report no problems as of yet.

I think the problem with these in the UK at least is you have to REALLY want one ! 15-20k will get you a m140i, golf r, s3 , or even a nice evo or sti.

I have a fn2 and when you get use to driving it it’s not hard to get power just got to high rev it in second everywhere lol but it is a very hard ride and stiff steering

This is not the ultimate version, the M20 Mugen (only 20 made for the UK) had a lot of Mugen specific upgrades and 240hp (20% more than this or the standard Fn2)

Not entirely correct mate, Mugen made only 16 of the 20 planned M20's making the M20 extremely rare with believed less than 4 cars i the UK of which is a 2.2 26ohp car owned by Mugen Euro.😀

The biggest issue with this car was just how much better the FD2 was than the FN2.

I believe FN2 is more daily-friendly than FD2, in term of NVH. FD2 is the better performing car, no doubt.

It would be cool if you could drives or test some of those cars on a race track . Cars just like this Honda Civic Type R Mugen . 😍 But maybe track performance is not what you want to talk about ... By the way great review .

I don't think that's a original mugen. I think it's just a kit. Mugen has dial on the right of the steering wheel.

It's not. And it's not ful replica, it need grill, fendees, bonnet, the interior is different..

@@twillsJKZ Dials were an option on the M20 not all of the 16 cars hard them (yes they made 16 not 20) there is a real M20 on Jaymm on cars channel without the dials fitted.

Mugen 200 aint any different from standard apart from body kit..... Mugen m20 is the one you want... Only 20, hand made k20's with one of 20 pushing over 260bhp

They pushed 240 but most of that came from the remap not the engine internals , airbox and exhaust . Although these helped increase the power most was gained from the remap. Fact
