2016 Honda CR-V Production - East Liberty Auto Plant.
From its first Honda Civic in 1989 to today’s assembly of the Honda CR-V and Acura RDX models, the East Liberty Auto Plant has defined flexible manufacturing. In 2002, the plant performed a flexible first by building light trucks on the same line as cars. Honda recently completed major innovations at East Liberty to enhance its assembly operations and leverage its flexible manufacturing capabilities. The plant will add production of the Acura MDX in the spring of 2017. Currently, the plant is undergoing innovations to add new weld technology.
