big mistake to remove front fender ,,all the mud gonna cover the cylinder head and gonna extra heat engine block for can not cooled down. it's simple air cooled engine,,only way to cool engine is air flow ..asap put something to block mud reach ur cylinder head era.
I've not had any issues with that yet. But then I don't go through really bad mud trails. This is certainly better than having it bottom out all the time and denting the mudguard as it was before. Even with the risers it was happening so this cured that problem. Maybe stiffening the shocks might help but then I'd lose the soft ride it gives me now. A bit of dirt on the engine I can deal with.
I've also got a Wave110i which is air-cooled. I took this up part of the Ho chi Minh trail where we got into mud over a metre deep. Hard work but again no issues. As long as you don't thrash the engine for hours on end there's no problems. These engines were designed for extreme use here in SE Asia. The locals barely change the oil let alone wash them and they're still going 20 years plus. For me I stop every hour let it cool down then carry on. So far no problems. Just keep changing the oil and it loves it.
Yea I recently got that bag. It's my admin bag, got all the stuff I need to hand when out on a camp. The usual stuff like kfs, cables, wash kit, battery packs. I've put the link below. I've done a quick review on it. I'll put that up soon. a.aliexpress.com/_mMjlpsY
