Very nice build! About the cover for the battery, that is custom made right? I have a similar build (based on Gorms) only that I bought my bike just a few months ago so I have only made some basic modifications so far but I am working on it 🙂
@@mikaeljonsson7882 From what I've seen the 99' and upwards frame seems to be much better suited for custom jobs. Mine has some factory holes and mounting points making it kind of different and a bit annoying for me. But I'll leave it, since I don't want to touch the frame.
Hey man! Actually you are the first one who likes the battery cover. I personally think it could be made better. It was made using a 3D printer that my buddy owns. So it's a flimsy self made cover. :D
Nice build! simple, robust and badass looking. One question, what is your height? I'm 1.93cm tall and I don't know if the NX will fit me well. Thanks and greatings from Spain.
Hey, I'm 190cm, and the NX fits me perfectly standing, or sitting. I've put a yss rear spring which made the seating position higher. Also the Renthal 7/8 handlebar with Sw-motech 22mm risers made it fit me even better.
@@NXatNight Nice! From the way your legs look in the videos, I thought you were tall, that's why I asked, so thanks for the info. I'd like to do a similar build with a Dominator. Something special with the footpegs? Thanks again.
No, the pegs are one of the few things I didn't touch. They are stock. But I have to admit, that I was really struggling while trying to get some of the other parts for the bike. Not easy to build a bike these days :D @@MrYekom
Making the new wiring and connecting it to the motogadget and other "instruments". Other then that like I've mentioned, getting the parts was a big challenge because of the waiting time@@MrYekom
Yup, I was inspired by his dommie. Some things are different, because of my personal preference but mostly similar. My model year is different, and because I use it daily I didn't do to much with the frame and also besides the exhaust and some carb modifications I didn't touch anything regarding the engine output, it stayed stock, which for my riding needs suits me best.
@@cyrankowski22 It is definitely a superb motorcycle. When I wanted to buy it I was actually deciding between the old tenere, dr650 and XR650L, mainly for the purpose of modifying it and being able to travel on longer offroad distances. The dominator was in the best condition and that's why I bought it.
@@NXatNight Yep nice bikes too but now vintage bikes cost a little money in France this IS hype. I Always told to my Friend once i have the certificate i will buy a vintage trail they all told me you crazy now in France WE sée lots of xrv 750 rd07 super Ténéré
