Hi! This is my ownership review of Honda Elevate ZX CVT! Sorry for background noise, I just had to shot it in REAL conditions without any prep. Do let me your comments and queries, happy to help.
You've done an excellent job covering all aspects, both the positives and the issues. This unbiased review from a Honda enthusiast will surely help potential buyers make an informed decision.
Hi - i bought zx cvt last month. Do you get squelling noise from brake while applying it or releasing it (when you were in N mode and seeking to start moving after standing for 1-2 seconds)?
@@Mr.Coffee576 : There is a tradeoff between traffic conditions and on highway’s. Yes CVT does have rubber band effect but after 40-50kmph the car just picks up rapidly. Its the smoothest CVT and in traffic it does help a lot(i have purchased automatic for this very reason).
I m owner of cvt zx elevate. Fantastic car, driven 5k . If someone ask me to review it , it's the same as you reviewed. Pls share the number of elevate owner group.
I can't share it here on public platform. We have facebook group and whatsapp group as well. If you wish to join the whatsapp group, Please mail me at chitre.manish@gmail.com
@@prasadte4275 : Many People are wrong! You can ask any owner of Elevate. It has balanced suspension and its really good compared to others in segment.
Bro i have booked elevate zx cvt R variant. My car which were brand new (ran under 10kms) were having very mild vibrations on steering. I was worried. Checked other brand bew cars displayed in showroom. They all were having the same issue. Then i checked on a 1800 km ran elevate which were butter smooth. Couldn't even make out whether the engine was on or not that was the level of refinement. SVC guys said the vibes will vanish after first service Have you experienced the same?
Its a fantastic car driven 8890 kms ivtec zx . Its a honest review . In Highway im able to get 18.7kmpl in city Avg 11 - 11.5 kmpl RPM in the range 1500 - 2500 .. for over take you can reach 3000rpm .. I dont know how to use paddle shifters.. in city efeective manner , without stressing my engine .. is there a way can you please tell how to use paddle shifters. I belive this will definitely improve fuel efficiency.
@@anirudh06soni , Yes I had the same experience, and so I'm driving my vechile more cautious ⚠️ On a recent days , I'm stopping vechile before auto stop . It gives very decent drive experience to you also other . Also strongly belive , before it apply auto braking it's give two continuous beeps sounds , also it senses your foot on brake or in accelerater. If your foot on accelerater, breake will apply immediately..if your foot on brakes it applies autonomous when the object is very close.. Feel it. There's also an option available to disable them ., Once stop started your engine it will get enabled on its own. For safety reasons There's is no Permanent options to disable this feature.
When u feel the more rpm crossed while cruise you can use + side . In case need quick pick up u can downgrade the gear , I am using for past 6 month no issues , with this u can increase the mileage also , sometimes u lag pickup , but if u want smooth ride try paddle shift , I crossed 13 K , kms
@@manishchitre5130 ohh is that so. Why do we have to adjust for adas? I took test drive 4 times but I never felt any concerns with adas even in bumper to bumper traffic.
Hey I bought ZX CVT at 17.55 lacs including 2 year warranty extension and accessories worth 30K. The actual cost was 17.05 lacs for ZX CVT. Demerits Which I felt while using Elevate 1. Noisy Cabin 2. After sales is an issue they will work as per there SOP would not adapt as per customers requirement. 3. Mileage 9-10 in city. Mild Hybrids will give you 14-15 4. Fits and finish looks good but isn’t that sturdy. There is a rattling sound from the dashboard. 5. Throw of headlight is weak you would feel the need of an auxiliary light. Would need your point of view on each point
@@ankurmishra8611 1. I am working on insulation on wheel wells that will reduce the Tyre noise by huge margin. 2. SOP’s are strictly followed in Honda 4. Yes, it has some issues but that can be fixed while servicing or a visit. Car built quality is top notch.
Good @ Manish i am happy with honda city cvt as well and yes i did runber beading outside as well on the front and rear glasses where there are gaps and then no nvh ull feel like driving electric car.. also use z type for frin doors ..god bless. Drive safe dear.
you got a great car; I have city CVT for 7 years almost 1 lakh kms done and it goes everywhere does everything, Honda does not have cars with good NVH and it's not that much just a little more than others you are right but that engine will climb hills like no efforts at all trust me even with full load !!
That has to be least concerning reason for you not to pick this car. Please join Facebook Group of Elevate. It has around 12k members all over India sharing happy customer feedback. NVH is just 20% more. For rubber beading, I will be adding a video - It does decrease surrounding noise, but for Tyre noise - we need insulation on wheel wells but that's not a matter of concern its easily doable. For more customer feedback please join Facebook group you will have enough idea about the car.
@@manishchitre5130 Thanks for the response. How is the CVT performance on hills with three people equivalent load? The only thing that is stopping me from getting this otherwise sorted car is the poor noise insulation of the cabin. Different kinds of noises get filtered in because of that which I am finding hard to ignore. E.g. - Engine noise above 3k RPM, surrounding traffic noise, road noise. I took several test drives in trying to convince myself that it's bearable. But I couldn't so far.
@@arusarka :I drove this car on Tirupati hills with 4 people + full load, I could easily drive without any issues. I have solved surrounding noise by adding rubber beading - that's available in market for 5k and I need to remove the Tyre Noise by doing wheel well insulation that will only upgrade the car better than creta, seltos nvh levels. You might be thinking, why to opt this car? why not others? You can opt this car for it's engine. Please take a test drive on open road, you will really love the drivability and suspension because after 40 kmph the car actually is a pleasure to drive whereas, creta and seltos engine are almost dead. You can find "seltos vs elevate drag race" on RU-vid to truly understand the vetch engine power. It can give tough competition to NA engine's there. Engine Noise: engine noise is not similar to what we have in TATA or other brands. I am not justifying it, but its actually is! You will love revving this engine because it's the DNA of honda engines because of Vtech. You can completely avoid it, with light feather foot on the acceleration. There are many things.. I would suggest you to join Facebook group to truly understand the customer stories there. You can also go for this car for safety - just google "Bangalore Honda elevate incident' that will give you the structural strength of this car which Creta and seltos doesn't offer. PS: I have joined almost all groups including Nexon(where owners are telling new people not to buy it), but here you will have happy stories of people regarding purchasing Elevate. If you love the machine but not features then Elevate is for you.
@@manishchitre5130dude almost every owner and reviewer who reviewed elevate says it has high nvh levels . You yourself couldn’t get accustomed to noise and got rubber beading! Many suggests to go for damping ! Why do customers have to suffer doing all this ! Honda have simply cut cost in noise insulation and we still encourage them by buying it and tomorrow they will cut something else . Honda sales have fallen big time already !! They are simply killing themselves in india
@@raj52567 : Honda doesn’t provide insulation in thier cars which are even in the higher price point, but again NVH is not going to make anyone mad its just tyre noise nothing else that can be reduced by sound deading material at wheel wells thats it. Rest there are no problems with the car. Creta and seltos have 20% noise levels but they arent good at safety. Sales in India are gimmick. People just buy cars seeing features because kids and spouses want features not the exact car.
@@manishchitre5130 Brother, is it possible to get added.. I would like to be part of the Group very much and eagerly being an Elevate owner and an enthusiast
I took a test drive from 2 different showrooms in Indore and I noticed a particular issue with it’s manual transmission. Whenever I tried to shift a gear, the engine revs increased for a second of so till the shift is completed. Not really noticeable in low revs but really becomes prominent at high revs. It’s a very unique issue that I have seen in any car. Those unnecessary revs while shifting gears just take away from the driving experience. Did anyone else encountered similar issue while driving?
@@anirudh06soni : If you are driving rashly definitely you are going to have problems with CBMS because It's more disciplined. With time CBMS will make you a disciplined driver.
I agree to the reliability part. But as regards after sales service, honda leaves a lot to be desired. I am an owner of four honda vehicles. And the customer support is disgusting.
Perfectly fine! no issues at all. Honda has tested it in all conditions before releasing it to public in all countries around the world. Even in US people use the same ADAS system.
@manishchitre5130 good review , keep it up. Just wanted to check with you about suspension behavior on highways on sudden pathholes. I am owning zx cvt, for me there were occasions when suspension completely failed to absorb the shock and trust me those path holes were not that big. I have ran 8.5K mostly on the highways and that issue was not there there till 5K. Have you faced such issue. Or anyone here who has faced suspension failure issue.
@@anoopsingh1483 : Thanks 😃. nope, nothing as such. I haven’t faced any issue. We have a Elevate Owners Group. Please write to me on chitre.manish@gmail.com
@@manishchitre5130 Between Verna NA and Honda city which will be good, did you not checked Honda city on that time, also please share mileage you are getting in city and highway?
@@kirankumarmrjain : i am getting 11-12 in HYD traffic and 15-16 on Highways. This is for CVT. I have test driven Honda city too its a good car. Varna is good but maintance is high for longer runs.
