Honda CH250 Elite & Spacy starter motor clutch issue.
If you Honda CH250 engine won’t turn over but sounds like the starter motor is turning over, then check this video out. They have a one way starter motor clutch assembly that fails. Not many people know about this set up and presume it’s the starter motor without knowing how the system works.
Hopefully this video may help you diagnose it before rushing out throwing parts and time at it.
It is easy to repair with some basic tools, and general mechanical knowledge. Also be sure to get new gasket kit, I got mine off eBay. Will also need a basic puller to get the flywheel off the crankshaft. My whole repair costed around $120au in 2024.
Note, this repair was all completed on the scooters stand. No major parts had to be removed eg engine mounts etc.
