This machine will produce 120/240V 6500W max. (54.1/27.1A) (no more than 30 minutes) but is rated for 5500W rated (45.8/22.9A). It will run up to 14 hours at 1/4 load or at max load 4.7 hours. Its the best Generator in the 5500 watt range on the market today. It ran my whole house after Sandy. My heat, hot water, stove, dryer are N/G, and all my lighs are CF. We were getting over 12 hours on a tank. This Generator is very quiet.

I spent a lot of time researching before deciding on what to use ... though I choose to pay for quality, there is not a moment I am unhappy I did. The inverter system and gas savings in this system is amazing and the darn thing is just plain quiet and easy on the user and neighbors when running. This doesn't seem important till its 2am and you everyone hears a cheap machine puttering. People have been renting it for weddings because its so quiet. Dqalix, I couldn't agree more.

What motor oil and viscosity have you been using for your generators, Robert Rhodes, Mobil 1 10W30? Also, what oil change intervals and how many hours on your most used generator?

In our temperatures, regular old 30 is fine, but 10w30 is good if cold. Initially 20 hours, then everything 100 hours or once a year. Manual says once every 6 months but I can't justify it if it isn't being run. As to the longest hours, I have no idea, but I have watched EU2000 run and run and run and run. Id ask anyone out there if they have any 10,000 hour units. BTW manual, page 43 and 46 is where maintenance is: cdn.powerequipment.honda.com/pe/pdf/manuals/00X31Z256200.pdf

+XboobtubeX The Honda EU's are still running strong, no problems on any of them. These machines are superior, quiet and we are time tested believers. Machine has probably done 4-500 rentals no problem but again, all we put into our equipment is ethanol free gas and we always add additive. That is the biggest issue today.
