My brother has a GW6 - not my cuppa tea! I've done lots of k's behind the bars on it and the handling is ponderous at best. But the motor; the motor!!! Linial is apt - bags of power from zero revs and it just builds and builds and builds from there. Everyone should put a ride on GW on their bucket list - up front or hanging off the back. You have to experience that motor. You will be spoilt for the rest of your life. The GW6 makes you plan ahead. You plan ahead for cornering; you plan ahead for braking; you plan ahead for parking; you plan ahead for everything.
Picked up a 2016 model last year. Best motorcycle Ive ever owned. Very pleased. Would value info on the handlebar and most importantly the clamps used to secure the bar. Ive been trying to figure out how to add a few farkels and youve done it. Where did you find the clamps ?
This Bike is a bad cat ! Purchased one in 2017 a left over 2016 model . I been riding for 48 years owned many Bikes . I love this thing , it's a harley killer , never got behind a harley I couldn't pass ! It is a flat 6 cylinder , and the Bike didn't cost that much in the states !
I don't think you've reviewed the newer Honda VFR 1200X, which is a rather tall seat height adventure bike, yet. Let us know when you do! It has the option of the DCT shift and has a shaft drive, neither of which you prefer vs manual shift and chain drive.
I have one, same colour, I love it, best bike I ever had. That's not the stock screen btw, the sock one is shorter and terrible over 80kmh, the buffeting and noise is unbearable. It's so smooth and comfortable, it's almost cheating.
@@eugstefan22 I get at least 230 miles to a tank, without the light coming on. So that's at least 34 mpg, don't know if that's good or bad, cos it's not one of my considerations. About 3.7 litres of oil in it.
No, the F6B doesn't have reverse, but I've never needed it. The early ones didn't have cruise control either. I've had over 35 bikes, this is the only one I wish had ABS, it's so heavy it takes a lot of stopping. Looks like this one has ABS tho, mine is a US model with linked brakes.
You are joiking, but I have R1200RT and went with my friend for a ride. She has got a scooter and when she was checking my bike, she laughed a lot and asked where I have air conditioning and why my panniers are not cooled :D
I have a 2012 Goldwing with 142,000 trouble free kilometers on it. I call the vent on lower part of the windshield my air conditioner. The red/black color on the 2014 F6B is to this day my favorite color on the F6B.
I am about to import a F6b from Queensland to WA. Im transitioning from a zx14r and upgrading an old Nomad which I hardly ride now. I live in the south west 100s kilometres from a cit y so this bike will suit me. I was going to ride in the US next year but considering Trump has ruined the place I have cancelled the Hired Harley cruise up The Pacific Highway tgrough the Redwoods to Canada and Vancouver. So bought a f6b instead n will crewz WA.
It doesn't feel heavy at all the second you start moving and it's 100 pounds lighter then the regular Goldwing which I've been riding for 8 years. I'm 67 now and it still doesn't feel too heavy for me to handle.
I bought one imported from Queensland. Do not waste your time or money. Useless screen, seat, bars. Boring motor. Selling mine after 3 months and losing $5000 .Do not bother with it as it fails. Plus has mechanical proplems with front end. Mine sameyear and colour. That stock screen givesyou extreme buffeting over 60 kays. That seat cuts into your thighs when you stop. Thosebars flex half an inch and give vaque feedback. Andthe motor is Boring...low revving no powerband lw powermundane BORING. I am 67 and riding since 17 and this bike fails dismally.
