Today on Jon's Moto Garage we check out one of my personal favorites: the 2013 Honda Goldwing G6B Deluxe! This is another Craigslist find. You'll never guess how much I paid for this bike (ok, many of you likely will). Vid to come of what I paid, but for this round I'll do a test ride on the f6b deluxe and discuss why I love these motorcycles. Enjoy!

A dealer about 90 miles from me has a brand new 2016 F6B Matte Silver carryover priced at $12900. Going to be hard to not jump on this deal.

If I were you. I would come up with a support for the center of that Ramp. Just 2 flip down stilts made out of two by fours. Just cut vees into the top of the 2x4s.. including your weight, that’s about 1100-1200 pounds on that ramp you are trusting. this motorcycle reminds me very much of the Honda pacific coast. I have had two Honda pacific coasts.. I have been commuting on them and using them as mules for 24 years. I was hoping they would come out with a next generation PC800..and it almost appears that they have with the F6B. I still have my 94 Pacific coast, and I have a GL 1800 Gold Wing I like the look of the F6B, I like my Gold Wing, I love my Honda pacific coast. I have had dozens and dozens of motorcycles. 2 ventures ,4 guzzi ‘s,BMW, many machines from the four big Japanese makers and bridgestone..I have over 700,000 miles behind bars just on the street. I consider the Pacific coast the most useful best all-around pleasant comfortable,coast to coast capable indestructible motorcycle in the universe.. It seems that dealers across the country are stuck with new old stock F6Bs unsold.. I think I know why they aren’t selling. let’s look at it this way. When you go to buy a Cadillac. You expect all the bells and whistle’s. The F6B is like an incomplete Cadillac. It’s like getting a Cadillac without power seats or power windows or air-conditioning or a back seat.You may never need to use the backseat or the air conditioner, but just knowing that they are not included is a problem. i’m guessing you paid $9000 for it. a motorcycle that old with less than 2000 miles on it means, it was an Impulse buy, and the guys happiness curve has dropped below the flat line a long time ago. He is not emotionally invested in the motorcycle. these bikes are tough sells..they never caught on, He was glad to see it go. $9000 is my guess

Good looking out! I paid $10k and ended up breaking even. Lol. The market took a steep dive even from the yr before when I had made a decent profit on a red one with higher miles. $9k is what I should've paid for it. You were spot on!

If you got it under 11k you did pretty good, I follow pricing pretty good...I missed a great deal on a 2016, 300 miles on it, deluxe with 2 years left on the factory plus a three year extended, not a scratch on it and the dealership was going to ship it for 13900!! I have a red non deluxe 13 like what you probably had before...I love the F6b as you may can tell if you follow my every 5k or so you tube reviews....Nice bike, wow low miles...get rid of the gas tank sticker with some wd40, LOL fun ride, thanks

Hi what's the size of your bed truck? Is it 5.5 foot? I'm planing to pickup a 2021 goldwing dct out of state and transporting it at the back of my 2020 tundra crewmax bed 5.5 foot. Would the tail gate hold that kind of weight?

On the fence between this & full goldwing. Like the 2017 blue/black full & '15 blue/black F6b. I use a condor wheel chock in my truck makes transport less stressful.

That's a tough call. Honestly, if I planned on doing lots of long distance rides, I would probably go for the full goldwing because of the extra creature comforts. Of course it would come down to price/the best deal as well. Either way, I think you'll enjoy the ride! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Nice! I'm a bit over the f6b for resale stuff. The market seems to have taken quite the swing in the wrong direction. Great for buyers though. Sounds like you got a smoking deal! That was here in az?

Jon, What ramps are you using? If not a particular brand, weight rating and width? Mine are bit narrow (with the two of them joined together) but yours not so much. I think I got mine at Lowes ages ago. You anchor the ramps to the bumper/hitch when loading/unloading right?

Thanks for checking the vid! These are big boy ramps. 3' x 10'. I believe weight rating is 1500 pounds. I bought them used on cl for $350 a few years back. Thanks brother! Try to get your hands on one for a test ride first (if you haven't already). While not on the same level as the busa in the performance category, it's a much more comfortable and practical ride imo -- blends the best of both! Plus you can still drag a knee if you feel inclined (check my goldwing knee drag vid if you haven't already). Lol.

I haven't done any long 2 up rides, but my wife said the back seat was pretty comfortable on the short ride we did.

I picked it up for $10k. After having some fun on it and putting it through the paces, ended up breaking even and selling it for only $10k. Lol. The market seems to have slowed a bit since my first one. Still one of my favorite bikes! Thanks for watching and commenting!
