Honda FG110 Mini Tiller Transmission Greasing/Service 

Great video man.......thanks for taking the time to post it....

I know this is an old video and old thread, but I just found it and I am thankful the author made it because this is exactly what I want to do. And I plan to use my tiller a lot over the next few years, so since the manual says to grease the transmission every 25 hours, I want to use a Zerk fitting, and remove it after and replace the original screw. Can anyone tell me the size of the fitting? And are the threads usually the same on this type of fitting? Thanks again for the video and offering! I appreciate it!!! {liked,subscribed,saved}

I have the same tiller and my fill job looked like yours. Messy. There must be a better way. I have used a small spring action hand pump from Oregon (I think they're used for chain saws) that I fill with grease and push against the hole, but it's slow. I'll try to find a zerk fitting as other's have suggested. Also, my tiller leaks black grease under the engine. Can't find anyone to work on it. Any clue as to what's going on? Gasket leak or something?

Nice idea, but when I tried it, what a mess! There was no way I could pump enough grease without having a load of it leak out. I just replaced the filler screw with a zerk grease fitting and viola! it was beautiful -- no mess. When finished take the zerk back out and replace it with the filler screw (the zerk would likely break off while tiling if you left it in). I actually did not have a spare zerk fitting, so I cannibalized one off my shredder, then replaced it when finished.

Get a turkey injector and a piece of fuel line. Fill it with grease and it’s works awesome

I've been using a thin grease, 00 weight in my Tillers. No failures yet. It seemed like the thicker grease would fling away from the worm gear? Any thoughts?

Would this help it not bog out when trying to run the tiller?

I have craftsman convertible cultivator it's a universal attachment for the weed wacker and it leak grease and now the tines do not spin it's like there are locked up any ideas how to fix thanks

Some other people use syringe to fill the grease.

Wire brush is a great way to clean phillips screws that are packed with dirt. Saves stripping them everytime. 🙂

I've never had a grease gun that don't leak, and have you shown us how this till?.

The grease fitting works great I did this myself and there is no mess.

Put Copperpaste on the shafts.
