The Honda GL650 Cafe Racer Full Build Timelapse is finally here! This Honda GL650 is from the same family as the CX500 but differs in frame design, suspension design, and bodywork shape. If you like CX500s you will like this bike! This time-lapse video was fun to make and I hope you enjoy it! Watch as I take a fully dressed highway cruiser and turn it into a stripped down aggressive apocalypse bike with a blend of styles but 100% fun! This thing is an absolute BLAST to ride and has one of the best exhaust notes I have ever heard!
This bike took me over 3 years to complete as I started on it back in 2018 at my old shop and had to put it on hold soon after I began. That pause lasted until 2021 when I was able to get going on it again but this time with more skills and equipment! The first minute of the video is a slideshow as in 2018 I was not recording since that was before I had created the channel.

How beautiful! when I was a child I helped my uncle who was a mechanic. I was in charge of passing the pintof on the board and then I used the spatula to remove the paint from the board. He reformed just like you from scratch! Yamaha 125 DT 180 and honda CB 450.. I'm so happy for you to make this true work of art!!

I work in tooling a bit and have taken some intro classes for tig welding so I know a LITTLE of what this work entails and your welds are super nice and clean you've obviously done a lot and man is that end product bike ever cool. Normally i am not a cafe' racer type fan, but your personal taste on this is pretty good in regards to color scheme , stance, and proportions . But mainly i have to respect the effort put into this kind of project, not just in imagination, but mechanical aptitude . Well done dude ! :)

Such a great build mate! Film work was also great. I've been slowly customising a CX500 and this will be a go-to vid to see some perfect inspiration. Can I ask?....what is the tank from? and the handlebar controls? ( I love the twin headlights, I'm doing that myself in a slightly different way) You should have Ads on this vid. Hey Marc thank you! For all of the modifications you can actually see the full build playlist as I document each step as I go. I have a much higher-tier CX500 build playlist on here as well as yet another CX500 scrambler playlist. The tank on this bike is totally stock. For ads, you would have had to see/skip two before it started, then maybe 1 or two during the video. I placed 4 potential ad breaks but most don't need to see them all. I do not overload my videos with ads but they are there.

Thank you for being one of the few welders I've seen on youtube to actually wear proper equipment. Too many guys welding with just a mask and a t shirt, or no gloves, or even no mask at all. Skin cancer is a real thing. Thanks for setting a good example.

What REALLY impresses me is that when you made the wiring harness (you MADE the wiring harness!!!) you managed to get all the lengths of free cable past the harness, that go to the individual components all completely correct. So all the wires had exactly the right length of cable to go where they needed to go. How in holy f*ck did you do that??? DEEP RESPECT man. That's just my kind of bike (apart from the headlights)!

This made me appreciate being a human and the time and capability we have in life more. Craftsmanship, effort, passion. Taking things apart and putting them back together as many times as necessary to bring imagination as well as quality and industry standards to fruition. Skillfull and Beautiful this all was. Amazing how evolved we are and can be. Specifically, Jish and his mastery is inspiring to see throughout this all. Thank You Also how beautiful is it to see all the nuanced machines for cutting, cleaning etc. Amazing
