After my last video of WingStuff Belly Pan. Many viewers asked if it would work with a Motorcycle Lift, particularly my PitBull Motorcycle Lift. Well, there is the video! Checkout the Belly Pan at wingstuff.com/products/24485-performance-stainless-belly-pan Check out the Pitbull Lift at pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com FOR WINGSTUFF BELLY PAN: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PWphI41crRo.html VIDEO: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xQkMPAu-kSM.html check out the video and see for yourself. Hey Mike, I have a belly pan as well. I took off the front part, like when I change the oil. I looked to see the spots where it's being lifted, marked the belly pan so I know where to put the lift without guessing. And no one can see the alignment mark on the pan anyway. Good video. This was my concern also before I got my pan.

Thanks for the video Mike. I just bought an 07 gl1800HPN with 25k miles on it. Bought it from the original owner. Among a bunch of other things, he gave me this Pit Bull lift. I too have a belly pan, and wasn’t sure. Now I feel more confident on lifting this beast of a bike. Time to remove the wheels, replace the tires, new fluids and plugs. Keep up the videos. I’ve been watching your channel for about the last month while shopping for my Wing. 👍

Congratulations. I am glad some of my older videos are still helping out. Kinda hate I am not as active as I once was. Since I recently retired last July guess I have gotten lazy and my interests have spread elsewhere but my channel for the time being! Cant believe you git a PitBull lift also!

Hey Mike, I had a quick question. If you have already answered this somewhere else, I apologize in advance. Question: do you think it would be okay to raise up my GW with the Pit Bull lift, remove the wheels, and leave it like that for 2-3 days? I’ll be doing some work on it over the next few days, and replacing the tires. I basically want to remove the wheels today (Sunday) so when my tires arrive tomorrow or Tuesday, I’m ready to swap them out. What do you think. Thanks in advance my friend. Adam, from Texas.

Thanks Memphis Mike. We both ride Wings and that was our concern also. We have the J&S Jack andt use a bracket on the forward proportion...now we know with a belly pan don't have no need for the bracket in order to lift our bikes. Thanks

ME TOO! My concern was the Louevers crushing... I think over time that could potentially happen, but not something i would lose any sleep over!

That’s one big beautiful bike you’re lifting there Cousin Mikey. The Pit Bull lift rules! I think it’s the best lift money can by. Because no one wants to have remove a belly pan for lifting their bike. No need to. Nice job.

Great video..thanks! Those louvers as they are on that belly pan are actually the strongest part due to the small bends. The bends add strength to the pan as well as ventilate. So i m not surprised one bit that the lift did not damage anything. Now, in saying that, i would not leave the bike lifted on the louvers for months at a time....winter storage.

That's interesting. I have a Craftsman lift and will have to try this. Can't really think of a reason to put it on a lift with the belly pan on except for removing the front wheel. Can do everything else on the center stand. Time will tell. Brave of you to sacrifice your belly pan to find out. Always enjoy the vids. Talk soon.

That belly plane has quick release aircraft style fasteners on the front potion of the pan. One quick twist and the front of the pan drops off and you have direct access to the oil filter

I have a J&S that I used with my Harleys for years, have been wondering if I could lift the Wing w/belly pan, guess I'll give it a try, I have the same pan. You are brave doing that on camera!
@RODZ51
@RODZ51 2 года назад
Hi Mark! How did the J&S lift the wing with the louvered belly pan? Did you have any issues?
@wingandhog
@wingandhog 2 года назад
I just bought a J&S Jack with the GoldWing adapter but haven't had a need to actually use it yet except for my Harley. I am also hoping I don't have to remove the Belly Pan to use the jack. That would be a pain in the ass
@MemphisMike901

You should be fine with Belly Pan but cannot confirm that
@wingandhog
@wingandhog 2 года назад
Update: I tried to lift my GL1800 yesterday with my J&S Jack with GoldWing adapter. After raising the suspension as high as it can go, I couldn’t quite slide the jack all the way under the bike WITH the J&S GoldWing adapter installed. Later today, I may try to lift the bike with out the adapter. I have the same belly pan and I definitely don’t want to remove it. I need to remove my rear wheel to install a new E4 tire that arrived Saturday.

Great video Mike. Just wondering why you decided to install a belly pan. I have an 04 with 71 000 miles which I service myself and I have never had an issue underneath. Of course I've bottomed out suspension many times in 16 years and also ridden many dirt and gravel roads in the Territories and Alaska. My concern is the dissipation of heat and I noticed it creates a rocking motion on the lift. Keep up the great work. 🇨🇦

If you ever need it you will be glad you have it. Air flows very good and never had an issue with heat dissipation.

OK Mike... you put your bike up on the center stand like a piece of cake!! I am 5'10" and tilt the scale at 190 lbs and have the most difficult time putting my 12 Wing on center stand. I usually call out my son and between both of us it is successful. Do you have any specific secrets for the center stand. Thanks for any comments. Lee G

What is the rear pad of that lift sitting against? The front part of the center stand? ------- I think that bike has every piece of chrome available...
@MemphisMike901
@MemphisMike901 4 года назад
Yes and yes. When I got the bike in 2014 most of the chrome u see was already on there. I upgraded floor boards and passenger pads to Rivco tho. The kuryakyn was looking a little worn
@Bass.Player
@Bass.Player 4 года назад
@@MemphisMike901 I had to replace all the kuryakyn junk on my Bike also and my bike was well taken care of before I bought it. Now when it sits under a cover with a heater to keep it from sweating during rapid temperature changes. It sits in a metal building and at night it gets cool and humid, as the sun raises it heats the building rapidly and any large metal object sweats like a glass of ice tea. The heater which is on a timer comes on about thirty minutes before sunrise and cycles on and of for three hours. It does not really drive the moisture out as it raises the temperature of the bike up so it's no longer cold...
