His full quote: “Looking back on my work, I feel that I was doing nothing more than mistakes, blunders and serious omissions. But I am proud of the achievements. Although I did one mistake after another, my mistakes and failures never occurred for the same reasons.”
Just one piece of information the first factory in America was in Ohio it fuels the economy in marysville I have worked there for 4 years pays good and they take care of their employees!!
Honda is also one of the only Japanese automakers to be family owned not some chairman stuff. Honda never combined with others to make his company larger, his company is just so good at what it does that it didn’t need any outside influence. Honda is literally everywhere from lawnmowers to planes.
Found your channel today and no matter what topic you're talking about, you're making it hella interesting, easy to understand and you're funny as FCK. This channel is a hidden gem. My mother had a Honda Civic back in the 1970's. It had a four-speed manual transmission. I remember that catalytic convertor smelled like rotten eggs after she parked it in the garage of the house. I also remember that she got a ticket for speeding on the highway. She was clocked at doing 91mph in a 55mph zone. This is in the days when Honda didn't have their own dealerships in the U.S. This is when people were complaining that .62 cents a gallon was too high. Adjusted for today's inflation would put it at around $3.19 dollars per gallon.
2:07 Minor correction. The Honda Dream was not the first full-fledged motorcycle. It was the first full-fledged Honda motorcycle. But there were plenty of models, from various makers, before that. Have a look at the Harleys of the time...
I like your content so I started watching it on RU-vid instead of tik tok cus tik tok doesn’t pay well. If you’re seeing this do the same with tik tok users you like when they come up on your RU-vid recommendations. They deserve it.
Been watching your vids lately and i really like your way of storytelling. Easy to follow, concise but not too vague/general, and just clear through and through with interesting topics to boot! Sub!
You’re my favorite RU-vidr man, please make more history videos. The RFK jfk linden video is a masterpiece, please PLEASE keep making them. Also I’d pay for a Patreon, you should launch one with extra content
Honda was/is an engine company that needed vehicles to stick the engines into. Not sure how much it matters these days, but a lot of the top execs did time in the motorcycle and auto racing branches. Because engine development in racing (if allowed) is a real time project where you need an answer and you need it now. So, f you are quick witted and can get results there, chances are you have what it takes in the executive suites. An unfortunate thing about racing these days, there are cost caps in most series nowadays. You need to get it right from the jump. If you get it wrong, real time fixes don't really happen like they used to. You might have to wait until next year. At best, you may be able to plead your case for reliability reasons.
Great job telling the story but you also forgot to mention the part where gm and ford refused to put the catalytic converters on their car claiming it would kill horsepower so Honda literally had it put on some Chevy v8s himself to prove it could be done.
Honda isn't a car company. They a motor and engine company. Generators, bikes, boats, lawn mowers. Seriously, you can get a GX390 off the shelf for less than a grand and bolt it to anything you want to spin.
John Snow theory... Why would he be the steward of the lord commander? Why would the manager have you responsible for his child?? Maybe im reaching 🤷🏿♂️
Honda invented the motorcycle in post WWII Japan???? I love your videos man but that is the silliest thing I’d ever heard. Americans had motorcycles in 1919
I like the channel but honda didnt invent the first full fledged motorbike or whatever you said. That shit started in the late 1800s. A lot of people will just assume youre telling the truth so please try to be more accurate. If its about some music industry stuff it doesnt matter but saying motorbikes are post ww2 is crazy.
