How far did u stretch it back? You are a super dope dad for doing that with your son. I am a new dad also. Cant wait to do kool stuff with my son also.
@@jelle8754 balance point is alot higher. stand ups are easy to get up but you have to really snatch it even with my 45t sprocket for sit downs. but when your in a group of big bikes stunting its cool having the same wheel base and seeing your front tire as high as theirs lol
Thank you so much! I'm the kid with the bike actually..HA!! My dad is the best, I'll let him know what you said. He's going to really appreciate it, man. I wish I could see your Grom too!
That is one bad a** Grom!!! Looking at one of these for my daughters first bike. We are going to skip the pedal bike and go straight to this. Great job and awesome parenting!!! :)
I'm all for getting your kids into riding... But considering the Grom is smaller, quieter, and overall harder to notice, I would suggest a color that doesn't blend in perfectly with the road. A lot of riders stress that Groms are terrible starter bikes for this reason. A 300cc would be a bit louder, bigger, and has enough power to get out of a sticky situation if you need to create some distance. If a less experienced rider is going to get a Grom, I suggest a bright color that will keep you noticed on the road, atleast until you get some instincts and can predict what idiots are going to do on the road. Obviously, it all comes down to the rider and how responsible they are. Your kids may be very well qualified, I don't know, but just wanted to point it out.
I really like the design of the exhaust but from what I've researched, its quite loud. I was wondering if you could explain in more detail how you made your copper baffles for the exhaust?
Now u gotta lower the front. It's easy just loosen the trpple claps and slide the forks up and re tighten. be careful not to over tighten. just snug it very evenly and slowly.
Did the old stock exhaust have a cat that you did not use with the new exhaust. So, you lowered it and made the wheel base longer. He looks like he is sitting to far forward on the bike. The knock against the bike is the soft shocks and the seating position.
Hi. Thanks for sharing the video. Could you tell me where you bought all the accessories. I liked how is your Honda Grom. My daughter wants to change her motorcycle. Thank you. and discuss the inconvenience.
Did you lower the front with lowering springs or is it stock and just lowered the rear? Looks great, looking into a Grom for my wife to learn on and she is 5' flat.
The stretch kit is from Steady Garage, it is Chimera adjustable stretch extension blocks. The lowering kit (4.5 inch), the gold chain, chain breaker Composimo Fabrication. The new handle bars, (shown in the next video) are from also from Composimo Fabrication. Thank you!
Grom looks sick guys. Great father son bonding. I know others are thinking it but I’ll be the one to ask. How old is your boy. Can he legally ride on the street? Just asking. Not that we all haven’t riden on the street way before legally aloud haha 😎🤟🏼
We will shoot a little mini video of just the tail part, and try to best explain how I did it. More or less looked up how to remove the fender part and took a Dremel to it, but that left an opening facing backwards. So, I covered that with styrene plastic that I screwed to it. Basically just didn't want to remove any of the stock plastic, except for the back fender part. When we do the video I'll do some close up shots of the back and maybe that will help you.
I don't even have a Grom But Damn😍😍😍I have A Yamaha SZ 2017 the white-darkpurplish blue model it's 150cc Hope I'll get it modded the same way you did it except for the lowering part😬🤪
Hi you guys I like this video. I actually give me ideas as to what I may what to do to my bike but what I have is not a from but I would love to do the same upgrades you did on this on to mine. I would like some of you help and expert though thanks for your response..
Only problem I see is that you have got the chain tensioner fully forward instead of back. What you gonna do when the chain starts to stretch ? Other than that it looks good.
Take a look at it agin it's installed properly. When you losen your axel nuts, and then rotate the allen screw clockwise it pulls the axel back tightening your chain. So I've got a good inch and a half of adjustment.
why would you stretch a grom just wondering i could understand lowering it of a lower center of gravity tbh tho it does look preittty dope i would put some dual sport tires on it
