Hey guys, I see a lot of you here are from the US - super nice to see. I want to make more content for you so if you have a car or a bike you'd like to see me make a video on, or any video topic in general, please reply so I know what to film for you. Thanks!
@@highoffgunpowder Sorry to hear that you don't understand personal preference LoL Where I live is great for a Grom, I've been having a blast.. Two of my buddies, who both have Yamaha R6's, are picking up their groms soon 😉
Random tip about the helmet hook- turn your helmet around so the opening faces the fairing rather than the sky. That'll keep your helmet protected from rain, dirt, and bird poop 🙃
A lot of the time it’s a tradeoff between the potential bird poop vs the sure dirty fender. I mostly go for the bird poop side and since I also put my gloves in there it feels less risky
I visit a very famous motorcycle hangout in northern California; it is in a redwood in the mountains south of where I live. Yesterday I ad an appointment with the guy who totally tricked out my Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP. I was surprised when he and his fiancé rolled up on Groms! They were lent to them by a friend. The ran all day in the mountain roads and showed later in the day full of smiles. They both track their Ducatis, so they are competent riders. They couldn't stop praising the bikes! From the hangout to their house is a highly technical alpine road; they claim that while it's low on power going up inclines, it makes up for that with sheer maneuverability! So, I'm starting to look at them as an alternate in the city. Good video.
bro 😭 the more i watch this video the more i love it, the bikes great but your humor sprinkled in, and that edit of you memorizing the specs on the bike is gold 😂🤣
I really enjoyed this video, i didnt event want one i was just curious, but the effort you put in is fantastic! the license plate measurements was great!! keep it up!
The Grom is such an awesome bike if you already own a bigger motorcycle and just want something for around town. I would not own a Grom by itself. It’s just too limiting.
So I have behind the supercar, which has the same engine as the one that you have here. But it’s got bigger wheels and it also has shipped gears, but you only shifted with a heel tow shifter and you don’t have to manipulate the clutch with your left hand the heal toe shifter disengages the engine, and all the shifting is done with your foot but it does have years and you have to use them, and it has four gears and neutral. And I have about 5500 miles on mine in less than a year probably about six months or so they had 9 miles on it when I got it used. It has been awesome. I wanted that one because it has more capability for storage capacity. I added a rear rack to it and I have a 65 L locking waterproof box on the back. Also when I wear a backpack, all the weight of the backpack rests on the box, which is awesome, I plan on putting a little front box as well I have to mess around with that because it’s gonna affect the horn outside of putting the wheels onto the rims. I have done all other maintenance, but I have switched the rims with new wheels on them. I have replaced the chain adjusted the chain just did the rear brake change the front brake pads. I have adjusted the valves but they really didn’t actually need it but you’re supposed to check them in 4000. I have changed the oil multiple times. And I’m really curious to see how many miles I can get out of the thing we shall see. I was thinking about buying a bigger motorcycle, but I’m being cheap about it and I’m just gonna stick with this one except the faster highways it can go anywhere on the road. I almost bought the Honda trail, which is the dirtbike on off-road version, but it was another thousand bucks and it didn’t have a gear indicator a gear indicator. But yeah, I’ll get another bike someday it’s probably gonna be quite some time till I need to do it. There was another guy that had on ground that I was watching a video about and I believe at 82,000 miles the top end of the motor had to get rebuilt, he did it himself and, still ran luckily though from the factory mine came with LED lights all the way around and lock brakes in the front. I personally would not get a motorcycle without an electric brakes at least in the front but in the back is actually a drum break that’s purely mechanical. I actually prefer it that waybecause I know that if I need to, I can lock up the back tire if I need to and the front having the ALO break would not be so great unravel but on the road it’s great but I’m not taking it off road that much so it’s all good
@market_car lmao. If you really think any motor vehicle manufacturers stock zip ties on any vehicle, you should mot have the word car anywhere in your user name. I honestly don't even take this channel seriously now that you really think zip ties come stock.
@@E.K.Hernandez1987 It's okay man, I understand. Not having zip ties is nothing to be embarrassed about though. And hey, if you really need them, I can lend you some of mine which came extra from the factory.
Quite annoying the selection of tires for the Grom. I ended up buying KENDA KT1 or whatever they’re called. KD1? Idk. I was looking at the Pirellis but the reviews sucked for the Diablo Scooters. Then I was looking at the Angels and the Michelin whatever the heck they’re called. Idk. Just wish they would make something better for the Grom. Something a little more aggressive but then again I’m basically going the speed of a very fast road bicycle so I guess I don’t need anything that serious.
The nice thing about the Grom, is it doesn't really look like a mini motorcycle or scooter, because it actually is fairly high off the ground. So I shouldn't feel to embarrassed riding it around like I would a scooter, and have to wear a full face helmet so no one would recognize me haha.
Who cares what anyone thinks ,I ride my old school vespa scooter and have a blast. I ride for me a my enjoyment not to impress anyone else, I really want a Boom vader grom clone and upgrade the engine and and purchase aftermarket parts to replace all China parts to make it a dependable good quality motorcycle which would cost me less than the out the door price of the Stock Grom, to replace the engine and all other better aftermarket parts will be around the same price. Purchasing a new grom and modifying it like I would a boom vader would come to about anywhere from 8 to 10 thousand bucks and the vader comes out to literally 4465 bucks fully modified with a 200cc Daytona engine installed, faster and half price you can’t go wrong. u shouldn't care about what people think, it is a chain that will tie your wings. As long as you care about what others think you will never be free....
@@market_car Iskreno, mislio sam da dosta vise idu cene, kod nas u SRB sam ih slabo vidjao, mozda jednog i to na godisnjem nivou 😅 Super stvar za razbijanje gradske guzve
I always wanted Honda grom but price and used market availability are not great so I ended up with almost new Chinese knockoff. NGL I have a blast with it 😂
The knockoffs probably aren't that bad either, the thing is: this thing holds resale value so well that you are probably going to end up breaking even on your ownership so for me it didn't make sense to go for the inferior product. Cheers.
get her a 2023 cfmoto 300ss or 300nk. they have sales on them that make them cheaper than groms right now. all the power is in the high rpms so they are super safe for beginners but still fast enough for freeways when she gets confident enough
i dont know about that mph i have a neighbor that that just bought a 2023 grom new last week. and its stock. and with him 5'11 220 pounds it will run 74 mph and when my light butt compared to him i can hit 74 mph pretty fast and on good road get it to 76 mph and its stock as of today. now next week will be another story because hes already looking at parts.
Keep it real with you the speedo on this thing is kinda off, like 10-20% off. And it has the factory size tires and everything. So it's possible to get it even more off by changing things. I don't know if 76 mph is doable at all. Maybe with the newer Groms it is?
nope. tomorrow my honda xr150L shows up tomorrow. honda is delivering it to my house. the honda xr150l is the best small bike. over the grom and the beneilli tnt 135 etc.
@MOUNTAINOUS where'd you buy from for them to deliver it straight to you? I'm just curious because I thought buying new you have to go through dealership aswell as pay all the dealership fees. How much are you paying as well?
What kind of man rides one of these I thought it was a joke at first then I noticed he wearing crocks with socks guess different strokes for strange folks.
@@market_car i originally had a 2021 KTM duke but where i live in Ireland has a very high crime rate for stealing motorcycles and i became a victim of the gangs that steal nice motorcycles they took it from inside my secured garage so now a few years later ill try again with the 2024 version
