Inherited a 5.5 with no BS owner used it 10 years low compression and oily plug ,the end result was oil over filled , plug clean and a valve adjust .The compression was only 30psi but It ran two straight 8hr shifts .Wondering if the engine compression release normally gives a low read on these just a thought .Oh and it also needed a lash adjustment.Agree with gapping + .002 on older engines as they almost all pinch up . @PNWSmallEngineandLawn thanks yeah all good needs a plug clean mind you my spider sense says oil overfill. Dropped load of oil Outland the plug is pretty light brown and my comp had hit a massive 75 psi still think the rings are shot but ,hey its not my pump
