If you go and check everything out like the book says you’re gonna be there for an extra two hours so like you, I would take an educational guess of what I’ve learned over the years and things went a lot faster and better. Hello , I've been watching your videos to gain some confidence with small engines, especially with carburetors , scared of them,. Minutes ago I was able to troubleshoot my CAT RP5500 Generator used it once probably 2-3 years ago I tried to remove most gas out of the tank, but not in the bowl. Yup I did it too, it smelled like you know , So I cleaned the bowl put it back together and no start, so I knew I had to clean that jet. yikes, so i did cheat a little I removed the bowl and without taking off the carburetor I was able to remove the jet, and yes it was closed and crusty. I cleaned it and put it back together I was lucky it started. And no I did not take the long piece that the jet screws into it was clean I did run my wire thru it. I need more practice so one day I will remove the carburetor. I'm still learning, I just wanted to say thank you. Hector Gill

Nice work T-Bone, bet that bowl fuel smelled like roses. 🤢🤮 I wonder if cutting the fuel solenoid wires was their way of trying to fix it?

Just remember it has a tank fitting filter also and probably need replace and oem fuel hose I love the Honda carb

People need to try to start them every month or two , if not drain tank and run carb dry It’s AllWAYS carb problem on all of them 98% of the time Hard headed people 😮
