Honda hillclimb - Prelude vs Integra TypeR & Civic 

JDMH22AVTEC H22A CB7 nice :) we wish you luck with your project . Which h22a you bought? . Redtop H22 are best but expensive. In my opinion worth every $ if you want to make your car go faster, much more power and gearbox is simply amazing Just for fun normal h22 200ps will be more than enough in CB7

I must say Integra was going up that hill with 3 person in it and Prelude just with driver which is additional weight of about 150kg. After talking with drivers of bouth cars Integra driver pointed biggest problem in small stock 15 inch wheels which tires overheated close to top of hill and he neaded to use handbrake last few corners as small wheels even with LSD started to underster out of track (Tires was new Yokohama PRADA so tiers was not problem)Prelude with 17 inch tiers was true handling machine making Integra losing time in corners , as driver of prelude pointed biggest problem on Prelude was VTEC zone he was unable to be all time in VTEC zone even with useing 1st gear for 180R corners Final conclusion is that Prelude had much beter handling and ITR had much more power even with just 1.8 engine comperd to prelude 2.2 engine (With additional 150kg ITR engine was pushing like Prelude engine with just driver and didnt have VTEC cut offs bcs of bigger range of VTEC 5800rpm all the way up to 9000rpm while Prelude have VTEC from 5500rpm to 7500rpm with this just 2000rpm of VTEC work comperd to ITR 3200rpm in VTEC zone which keap Integra alwayes in VTEC whean you want it To give prelude what he nead will be red top JDM H22A or EDM H22A7 One advice for all Integra owners change those stock small wheels and they are even more worst whean its rain than stock Integra with 200hp and those baby wheels make car unable to drive fast on rain , now someone will say Integra perform good in japan on rain thats because of 16 inch wheels and circuit with racing asphalt which grip 10x time more than normal street road Remember red top is not just style those engines rocks . hondahillracing couldn't the prelude just use a vtec controller to widen the vtec range? you should try a fifth gen prelude type s against the Integra. that would probably have a different outcome. next time do the video without music

gary williams Yea VTEC controller will help engine to use full VTEC power all time . :) All new videos will be only pure sound. Next we will have Accord Type R (H22A7) time attack on same road car is preparing to make new record (ATR is also light tuned only stage1 clutch and K&N panel filter in original ATR airbox)

+yamahaua Yes thats the actual point. Type R vs luxury sport. But an important difference is the preludes transmission ratio. its about crusing not racing unfortunately :( stock vs stock the ITR is MUCH faster. According the gear ratios, LSD and power/weight and body ridgedy(struts). But the prelude has 400ccm more and is wider while less tall plus 4WS so... I hope my new Bb1 gets the needed mods this year to beat the DC2 times^^

+TheHondaTuner Prelude from video had jdm 200hp engine and 4ws was removed for car weight reduction cca20kg as this track dont have much high speed corners 4ws will not help and 4ws will had less traction in hard 180r corners
