Taking my Hornet 600 for a spin, still getting used to it so excuse the not perfect riding :D Bike: 2003 Honda CB600 Hornet with Dominator Exhaust Filmed on a GoPro Hero 7 with Zoomh1n mic
Finally a Hornet video with good resolution and sound. I have a 2004 Hornet. Mine came from the previous owner with one tooth down in the front sprocket and boy does it have some torque. It's a great bike and I'm gonna eventually use mine for the track.
Nice man, I've been thinking about the sprocket change too but it can offset the speedo accuracy and I don't like that to be honest, have fun on the track bro.
My first and still my current bike pulls like a train didnt realize how quick they are straight through exhaust popps and bangs like a champ 51k miles on it and still buts a smile on my face every time i ride it
Yeaah, thats the video I want to see of the bike I m aiming to be on this summer. I ll be taking my time to get used to it though. Fantastic video, thank you.
Every time I consider getting other bikes (mt07,450sr,rebel 1100) as my first bike,I either see or remember your videos and man, it just pulls me right back. Like, yes, it IS the oldest bike from my contenders/options and not really the best looking, but damn does it sound HEAVENLY. And by far the cheapest. Cant be beat, imo. Just gotta save up some more cash.
Nice video m8 👍 I have got a Hornet 600 aswell, and iam planning to replace my stock exhaust. This dominator sounds really nice 😍 In this video, is the DB killer in or out? And does it sounds alot louder with the DB killer in, then the stock exhaust? Ride safe!! ✌
Hi pretty good ride and exhaust sound too. I have the same Hornet in front... did you keep the catalyst on the motorcycle after installing the tuned exhaust? If not, did you somehow control the richness of the mixture? Thank you for the info
Great video!! Can you tell me where you ordered the mirrors? My Hornet are fitted with horrible carbon like sports mirrors. I prefer the ones you have fitted. :)
Oeff ! Perfect sound for a Hornet ! I got a Hornet to with a stock exhaust but want a Dominator to, Is this the dominator hp1 ? Because this sound is perfect 😍
Try Scorpion as an option? Make sure you get the correct year. Exhausts 2003->2006 are different than the 1998->2002.. well, the link pipes are very different.
Thanks bro, So I use a GoPro hero 7, 1440p 30fps, Shutter speed 1/60 with a natural density filter either grade 8 or 16 but looks like 8 because the video is very bright should have used 16.
Hi man i bought CB600 too but IT has some awful racing muffler so im courious can you ride with that Dominator Pipe with Out some earplugs of Will IT start giving headache...sorry bad english
This exhaust does give out a very deep sort of sound in the low rpm and it hammers into your skull, that might get annoying after hours of riding but in higher rpms its not loud at all so I'd say you'd be grand without ear plugs.
man you can ride !! by saying that i meen .. you got full controll .. you dont drive like an arse .. and you STILL mannage to rev it like its suppose to be revved :D nice video man .. 1 question tho .. what is that "controller" on the left bar? green light in it
@@iride1999 I was a little mistaken. 😉I’m from Russia, Siberia, Novosibirsk, for me Ireland and Great Britain are somewhere nearby. 😊 Tell me, how much does a Hornet 2000-2004 cost in Ireland?
@@sergeysmirnoff8091Privet. Kak Dela, Orosho, In UK the cheap ones that need work you can pick up for anything from £500/Euros. But for a nice one they can demand around £1800/Euro. We Bought one that was damaged and neglected for just over £500/Euro and currently are uploading the mini series of our poor efforts at restoration. We are hoping to have her all done for some summer fun.
Depends on your location. Depends on what parts.... In Brazil, the 2003/2004 Hornet is sold as a 2006 Hornet which really f's things up as they think their 2005/2006 is a real 2005/2006 (It's NOT a 2005/2006!).... the 2003->2006 are virtually identcal, but make sure you know what part(s) you do order. Forks changed in 2005.
@@iride1999 I have my one fitted now, and its the same GP1 short stubby thing, sounds great, haha, still getting used my one, same colour and screen, throttle is the hard bit for me, only twist it a bit and its gone. ahhaha. have fun stay safe.
@@iride1999 Yea I'm pretty stoked should arrive right before my birthday so it will be a nice present to myself haha love the hornet or well 599 here in the states.. I say hornet here and people get confused haha
I know you may prefer it using the clutch but these hornets u can upshift without clutch just snap off throttle, much quicker and keeps full hand on the grip avoiding a nasty bump taking the bars away from you. Just a tip.
I know about it,you can do it with almost all bikes. I'll do it if I really want to maximise my acceleration, but I don't see the point for normal riding.
@iRide, Can you tell is it the GP1 model or just the GP model? Im thinking about buying one of those. Did you have a need of tuning/reworking your carburators after installing the slip-on?
it's the way you shift and use throttle you know, on the vtwin bike you would have nore fun since it suits your riding styleway better but who knows maybe you've alreztried other engines too@@iride1999
@@iride1999 I've heard both are amazing and reliable, I'd need to put a restrictor for my a2 for both anyway, so I'd have to get a 1998-1999 hornet but I could get any year sv650. How would you say the hornet is with a pillion?
@@callumboothroyd3766 ahh it's grand man no problems at all, and I had the 2003 hornet on an a2 licence so you can go up to 2006 model they mostly the same power wise
Great video. I'm in love with the hornet and would never part way with it. I have honda hornet 2006 cb900f with TRS exhaust. it sounds brilliant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qB5urR4JaGI.html
