I agree, I'm just hear loving it his riding ability and after watching so many videos on this bike and people complaining about riding at 4krpm and the engine being buzzy and poor acceleration after roundabouts in 2nd gear. +Iride shows no problem. All this has sold me on this bike.
Who doesn’t love a good Hornet, sounds incredible, nice and flickable in the corners, super reliable Japanese engineering at it’s finest 👏 Nice riding mate 🤘
picking up a Hornet with 18 k miles on it come monday .. its clean as hell .. owned by 57 year man from new, hell it even has the original exhaust, and hearing this you sold me on a Dominator
AHHAH me to, just just go my one Christmas, only rode it 30 miles, now asleep in barn, bloody snow and ice now / winterGrrrr! with the GP1 Dominator can on the way to fit. HAHAH with no, DB killer. ahahah
I've been searching through youtube for days to find good quality hornet videos and here i am now. These videos are so satisfying to watch. Buying myself a Hornet 1999 next week. Its little bit "upgraded" with 107whp. Love the videos man and drive safe! ❤️
Glad you enjoy the videos man, definitely you won't be disappointed with it. Sadly though I wrecked my hornet, I'm so gutted bout it, I won't find another bike like it.
Getting a 2002 Hornet (97HP) how did you get it up to 107? I would like to also have CBR600 power ;o) Its the CBR600 engine detuned (they put a head with smaller valves on it and smaller carbs I believe...SO making it back to a CBR600 would be costly..
Just bought 1999 Hornet. All original as from the factory! The only thing i don't like is the original sound exhaust pipes sound - will have to modify, but otherwise perfect as a first bike. So exited!
Beautiful video, beautiful bike! Im so sorry about yous accident... condoleance this bike and so happy your safe! Could i ask you where or how did you get this beautiful head light for it?
Great video. The hornet is a really good bike, bulletproof engine, so much fun to ride it. My one was the first gen, carburettor one. Sold it to an 80-year-old guy who used to race hornets when he was young! So I got him a good home, I'm now on 2010 Yamaha fz1 - another good bike I have to say, but it doesn't rev as high as hornet lol. Ride safe! Best!
@@iride1999 Fz1 pulls a bit "different" way compared to hornet lol. You have to be more careful hahah But I can't lie, Hornet is a great bike. I had mine for 12 years and enjoyed every single moment of riding it.
Class video bro. Big fan of the hornet ever since watching "ariderslife" clips on RU-vid 10 years ago. Honda are bringing the model back soon but euro 5/regulations will no doubt kill off everything that made this bike something special. I read in the comments you totalled her, sad to hear but there's only one way forward... Get back on two wheels 🤘🏻
@@iride1999 you love your inline 4's that's for sure ha! Regardless of what you get stay safe. I'm dublin livin' too... It's a jungle out there! Looking forward to some new vids when you're ready... New subscriber here 👌🏻
Hello, what kind of motorcycle gloves are you wearing in the video, which ones do you wear while riding a motorcycle? What is your opinion about these gloves? Thanks in advance for the information.
Hi, I see you’ve had a Dominator exhaust for a while. How many miles did you drive with it? The exhaust has somehow worn out, i.e. it started to work louder, burned out or something? :)
Yeah I've had it bout a year, still sounded the same as when I bought it, not a spec of rust on it either. Won't be able to give ya anymore updates on it cuz I wrecked my hornet sadly.
I have it on video, I'll upload it eventually, I'll have to buy replacement bike first to deal with the grief of loosing the hornet 😂. Can't stand even looking at hornet videos.
The website I got it from don't have them anymore but here's a link to another. www.tradeinn.com/motardinn/en/puig-retro-right-rearview-mirror/138283052/p?id_producte=13898466&country=ie&gad=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI39_iwdiP_wIVB7jtCh2JIAXjEAQYAiABEgIAF_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
She was pretty man, and tight! gutted about the crash, glad your good though. whats the Japanese Katakana decal on the front mud guard say please, just curious? Cheers
No, I had to get the housing as well. The installation was easy yes but make sure you have the correct connector because the headlight didn't come with one.
Thanks bro I appreciate that, without going into reserve I've done 125 miles. If I'm correct reserve is 4 litres?? Should get another 40 to 50 miles from that.
Thanks bro, the hardest thing was getting the wire loom in the new headlight basket because its a good bit smaller than the original. Other than that its a pretty easy job.
@@iride1999 I haven't had the chance to ride either of these bikes yet. However, the speed triple has a different, three cylinder engine. It sounds similar but distinguishable. I think the two bikes are designed for the same purpose, though. This is a video of an older Triple that has somewhat similar styling. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x2w2OmeNmVk.html

There is no problem, the way the switch works is it cuts the ignition but fuel keeps flowing so once you turn the switch back on it shoots flames out the exhaust and makes a bang, I just thought that was entertaining 😂
Does anyone know where his windshield is from ? I have searched in a lot of website, even on ebay and such, but did not find one like this. All the other ones are so ugly 😂
@@iride1999 Thank you so much for the answer! Didn't know if you would since it has 2 years. I have watched your videos so many times, got myself a 2004 hornet 4 days ago and I am so happy. Thank you for the vids and the response. Much love
@@iride1999 Awww man.... that is such sad news. TBH, I'd not know what bike to get nowadays.... hope you're alright and get back out there. Best, from IoM.
