Thank you so much for the info. The only thing I know about cars is how to drive them. And even that is suspect. Now I feel like I can go into my mechanic and sound somewhat intelligent. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this. This is exactly what mine has been doing. We haven’t been able to figure it out. This is totally crazy that it has nothing to do with the parking brake! What the heck!
HRV2016, when I put the emergency brake the light kept blinking for 3 weeks, then I changed the brakes and discs and after 3 days the light disappeared. No one could help me with this problem until the change of these parts. I believe this note will help solve this problem
I actually made a mistake in the video regarding the sensor itself. The PCM sends a 5V reference signal to the sensor through a pull-up resistor. When pressure is low, the sensor resistance decreases and the PCM detects a low voltage signal. Sorry for any confusion.
I have a 2017 crv with similar stuff going on, all my sensor lights come on the dash, no one from Honda seems to know what to do. Could you please look into this? You seem to know what your doing.....please help, hundreds will appreciate you. Thanks in advance
Thank you for doing this video .I have 2017 honda hrv at 47k hoping that will never happen to this year model and if it does for my sake i know where to look for answer.
I own a 2016 HR-V and I had an exhaust/EGR leaks and all the dash light comes one so don't be surprise. Nowadays, auto maker built them cars/trucks with more tech so you don't just needs a mechanices, you'll has needs IT support.
I recently purchased a used Honda HR-V 2015 in Australia, and I'm facing issues with the engine light, parking brake light, and the headlights not turning off. The dealer initially suggested changing the alternator, which I did, but the problem persists. Now, the dealer is recommending a new battery based on a scan showing multiple errors. Could someone provide insights into what might be causing these problems, and if getting a new battery is a reasonable solution? I'm seeking advice on whether this proposed fix is appropriate or if there might be other underlying issues.
Hey I have a 2016 Honda hrv and got the check charge system I changed out the alternator and battery and when I try to start the vehicle still won't started and all lights are on please help.
The park light with exclamation ❗️ is on with check engine light is on. Sometimes it disappears and comes back on, car runs good but can’t find the cause
I'm in the UK , honda hrv 1.6 diesel ex model. Brake light flashing, doesn't auto disengage as it should. Diag scan tells me the only fault is on an O2 sensor, wonder if that somehow causes the fault
hello, im getting u0401-68 code and feel the brake is stuck and sometimes gear box doesnt engage.. after i clear fault with scanner all is ok .. after 2-3 days then same problem. can you please advise sir. thanks
I just replaced all brake pads and now the brake system yellow light and the (P!) is on plus starts a beeping when I start driving fwd not when in reverse, any ideas ?
I have honda HR V 2021, just come up electronic park sign with check engine, I don't use electronic park, any problem if I drive this condition, please let me know. Thanks
Had this vehicle for barely a month and I got this crap going on and an emission system indicator. The dealership I got it from seems more confused about it than I am. It’s driving me absolutely insane. About to trade this thing back in.
I have the engine light on, and the P with circle around it and exclamation point on the side. It just came on today around 1:30 pm. I serviced the oil at Honda dealer on 12/16/23.
I came upon your comment while searching for my issue; same thing happened to me as it sounds like occurred with you. I brought my 2019 HRV to get its oil changed this morning. This evening, all the lights you mentioned (check engine/P!/and transmission) lit up my dash. Is it related to getting my oil change? Just seems suspicious. In any case, what did you find out with your car?
Interesting, I have a 16 Honda Civic lx, park brake light is flashing along with brake system below it. The brake hold functions as it should wile driving and when I come to a stop it holds the car still. Lights only flash when I set the park brake and car is in park. Have you ever experience any repairs with this issue? Do you have any pointers? I’m thinking it’s a faulty park brake switch. My cheap scan reader shows no codes and probably won’t read anything in the brake system.
I have a question: Is there any possibility of switching OFF the headlights that automatically come on & stay on when we drive the HRV during the day?? Real annoying. The light covers are getting blur due to HEAT of being on all the time during day driving😭
Question: I came across your video why searching how to solve an issue with my 2018 HRV, this morning while driving the door ajar warning came on. Icon blinking, alarm beeping like crazy, any experience with it? If you could please direct me where to start checking before spending bug money at the dealership, I would very appreciate it. Thank you! Misha
@@BarneyTheDinosaur8D i actually did! There was a water leek through tbe trunk. If you take the panels off in the trunk on the sides, you see that it had a vent that sits in the metal which was installed incorrectly causing the water from rain coming into my trunk and messing with my electrical. Thankfully, i was able to discover that with a help of a friend and fixed it! Cost me $2 bucks for silicone:)
@@BarneyTheDinosaur8D i hope it will solve your issue. What helped me see where the water is coming from was running it through car wash. The water is pink, way was to see the pathway! Good luck!
Hey where is your shop located? I have a 2017 HRV & i have the steering wheel light on also the tire pressure light and the break system as well so i would to know how can you help me or if i can take my car to your shop. Thank you
Hello Mario did you ever get this issue fix I'm having the same issues was told my right wheel sensor was broke I got it replaced and the issue did not go away.
@@lakiaabrams1395 the wheel sensor isn’t broken. You have to reset that little tire pressure dash light by pressing the tire pressure reset button, it’s located next to the ECO button. You press and hold that tire pressure button and wait for the tire pressure light on the dash to blink and then release the button and the tire pressure dash light will be reset and go off. 😁. I’ve done my research. This chick doesn’t like going to the dealership and being ripped off and double talked.
Hey man same problem happening with me. I have a 2017. I took mines to auto zone & it shows up as intermediate shaft speed sensor “A”circuit no signal. But it’s having the same problems your having. Mines just with more lights. What is the piece you changed exactly
These HR-V, if one problem occur all the dams light will lite up like X-Mas tree on the dash board. Mind had an EGR leaks and all the lights shows up. LOL
@@Neno1017 Nope, what he changed was correct. The Transmission pressure sensor, my was leaking oil from there and I had it removed and put new seal on it and it is the same sensor.
My wife has a 2018 hrv. It will not go over 35mph. Check engine light is on,epb light is on,brake system light is on and tire pressure light. Not sure what sensor to replace or check. TRaining sensors or brake sensor d. Can you help me out? I'm in Indiana, she is in Louisiana. See my predicament?. Ty Lee
Hello I have the same problem on my 2017 hrv was told by Honda dealer mechanic my right wheel sensor was broke replaced at my local Honda dealer the lights still on. I took it back was told it could be my miss match tire replacing it and calibrating should fix the issue needless to say I did all the recommendation and lights still on.
@@lakiaabrams1395 if it’s causing the epb light, and an engine code for tcm, i would try fuses, disconnecting the negative terminal on battery, or getting an engine scanner that can scan for ABS codes. for me it was a bad tcm but it was a 2015 chevy impala
Hello. I really appreciate your content. Its very informative and helpful. Can you leave an email address or any other means to contact you, please? Can you also state which program or device you are using to detect the issue, please?
I got this honda sensor and switched it out 32$ total. I jacked up car , took tire off, popped the splash shield off and used a 1-1/16 box wrench to switch out the sensor. However my (P)! Light is still on
I have the same exact problem car seems to run ok smoothly with the parking brake light constantly on I’m debating Whether to bring it to the mechanics trying to avoid another bill of course
