Thanks Johnny, I would never have done this on my own. It still took me half a day as everything seemed to be seized up so a bit more explanation might have helped but it worked with some thought and stopped me from pulling everything to pieces.
Hi. Can you tell me if this mower has a sensor on the drive handle pls. I’m having problems with starting, I have to wiggle the forward / reverse handle to get it to start. Can you supply? Hope you can help. Thanks Andrew
There is a safety on the machine that will not allow it to be started if it is in drive, even slightly. Pushing down on the foot brake centralises the Fwd/Reverse lever allowing the motor to be started.
Does your blade keep spinning off the engine pulley when you disengage the blade with the lever? Iv the belt tensioner pulley rod on the inside backed off as much as possible and the springed rod on the outside tightend in more to pull the tensioner pulley away from the belt, but the blade takes ages to stop even sometimes won't stop at all, have to turn engine off and engage the tensioner pulley to stop the blade. Does your 1211 do the same? That surely can't be the way it's suppose to operate? My first thought perhaps the wrong belt could be on it being too small? Only got mower recently in used condition.
Hello, Would you be able to advise me I have same mower as you and my cutting deck will not run even when selected, I made a few adjustments but now selecting the cutting deck stalls the engine? Charlie McEwan UK
Hi The reverse the belt seems very loose that's why I was trying to increase tension but not been able to do that all the components are free I can turn pulleys and cutting blade by hand easily? Thanks for help
Thank you for the video Johnny, I have a Honda HF1211. The battery is behind the red cover at the front of the machine (behind the 1211 logo on your model). There is a screw ether side to undo the cover and the battery can then be seen.
Hello Johnny. When trying to undo the 13mm bolt on the front pulley wheel, the whole thing spins around. What did you use to hold the pulley wheel whilst trying to undo the bolt? Thank you.
@@MrJohnnydublin Ok. Thanks. I’m due to get out there tomorrow and have a go. Since I last messaged you, I found another (hopeful) method of preventing the wheel from turning. It isn’t recommended though. Thanks Johnny.
