Great video, I always prefer getting them in the air tripods or scaffold boards rather than leaning them on the side.. Great job on the belt change buddy... I know exactly what to do now, 👌

Just watching and commenting for your stats 😉 I don't have a lawnmower - I scythe the big garden at the back for a natural look. Front I use handshears on the small lawn.

With regard to the adjustment at the end of the video. The one further away is the blade/belt brake which should stop the blade in 5-10 seconds (not less) after disengaging. It shouldn't need adjusting very often and care is needed because if the end of the rod is not in the vertical position after adjusting then it can jam and cause problems with engaging blade drive and too harsh blade braking (causing wear/damage). The mechanism also integrates with the seat so if you get up whilst the blade is still rotating, it should emergency brake the blade to stop you lopping your toes off! The rod closer to you is the one that engages the blade drive and they don't give instructions how to adjust it but the blade should engage smoothly (as long the other one is not catching).

Great video, I had to take my deck off to patch up some holes , now that I have reattached the deck and belt etc , it cuts out when I go to turn the blade on ... Help please

Hello Alan. How did you manage to undo the 13mm bolt on the front pulley wheel without the whole thing spinning? I can’t get a grip of the pulley wheel with a pair of pliers. It’s not heavy duty enough so can I ask what you used please.

Well, I’ve managed to get that bolt undone but cannot get the new belt to feed in around the pulley.

Thanks for the video. I am trying to change the belt but am getting stuck at the stage of lifting the front pulley. I have undone the bolt completely and can move it up a small amount but it doesn't seem to move up enough to get the belt on. It's as if it's hitting a stop or something but I can't see anything that would prevent it going right up or even coming off completely. Any ideas what might be preventing it lifting? I have the drive lever engaged (but have actually tried it both ways).

It's possible the woodruff key has jammed in the Grove on the pully wheel mate but it doesn't need to come up much to slip the belt through do that before.... fixing to any other pully mate 👍 good luck Alan
