I would have replaced them brake cylinders, they will destroy the seals as they are, i have just bought two Deauvilles , i bought a 1998 first with a view to restoring it, i then bought a 2003 as a donor bike, but it turns out the donor bike is in really good condition, so it saves me a massive job.
Hi mate, the unpainted plastic bits come off first. The plastic engine guards are only one Allen screw underneath. The plastic panels under the seat pop in and the plastic panels that are quite big with the little vents in them have one Phillips screw holding them on each side. The panniers screw in from a few different places, best to not force anything and take your time. They are quite easy just be sure to take photos or make a note of what goes where.
