Just did this on my 2013 Odyssey. Three of the four nuts were seized and I ended up cutting them off with a recip saw. 100% recommend buying replacement flange nuts before you start. 2 of the 4 got stripped. They are M12 1.25.

Which side is this you are replacing and can you use this sway bar for either side left or right? Does it matter?

Lasonia Wilson both sides same

Are the flange nuts the same for both top and bottom? I assume they are but just want to be sure.

Thank you! Crazy that you have to buy the OEM hardware (nuts) separately! lol@@MrRangerZr1

@@michaelwilson2891 usually you can reuse the nuts but if they are rounded off or crusty best to replace

I wish mine came off this easy. I had to blow torch the booger. Was a PIN.
@MrRangerZr1
@MrRangerZr1 5 лет назад
Yep sometimes you need to chop or blow torch it off, especially in the rust belt states.

Yep, going through that now 😖 I even sprayed penetrant the night before. I have two options, 1st to hold the backside with a vise grip. 2nd to just just cut if off. I don't have a blow torch.

@@elgatogordo9523 I ruined 3 vice grips trying to hold mine. Gonna have to cut with my cutoff wheel now. What a pain. They really need a flat edge on backside to hold it as the allen hole is a joke.

@@onlywenilaugh6589 Honda doesn't want it to be easy for you. They want you to come to them for the job.

@@3CHDyes. Tapping noise over small bumps. Tapping noise from side to side.

Doing my sway bar links right now and uh... I'm gonna assume you don't live in the rust belt. My impact wrench alone couldn't get them off. Using a vice and the impact wrench, the right came off. The left isn't moving. I may have to cut it off. Oh well. We live in both the rust belt AND on a gravel road. Double trouble! :)

I ended up cutting the left one off! Oh well. Got my new ones installed.

even not in the rust belt sometimes you have to chop them, it's annoying...

I found it’s really hard to torque the lower end of swaybar link, the torque wranch can not reach there. How did you torque the lower end of link?
@MrRangerZr1
@MrRangerZr1 3 года назад
Just do the best you can, tighten it up with the ratchet.
@lambertj.2892

You do this with both wheels off the ground at the same time, right?
@MrRangerZr1

Yes
@ItsMe-by4fs

not really that easy of a plug and play, trying to get them out and back in, sometimes requiring two jacks to get the holes to line back up, otherwise, good video
@MrRangerZr1
@MrRangerZr1 5 лет назад
Were you changing the endlinks with both front wheels off the ground? If you have one wheel off the ground and the other on the ground, you'll never get it to line up.
