Thank you for this video. I was able to sell my car for $800 more than what was offered to me from CarMax because I fixed this part of my Pilot. The purchaser denied my car because they deemed it unsafe. Once I fixed this I called them back out and they made me offer higher than all others! Thank you so much for doing this!!
Thanks for the instructions. They worked very well for my 2003 Honda Pilot. The hardware I used was: Hillman Flange Bearing Bronze 3/8 x 1/2 x 5/8 x 1 (Drawer location E9), Weathermax Stainless Steel Pan Phillips Sheet Metal screws 10 x 2, and 1/4 flat washers. All purchased at Lowes.
Just did this fix, had to do both sides, plus the trim piece under the main piece on the driver's side. Found everything at Lowe's, right down to Drawer E9! Thanks Michael Haddock!
Both videos - excellent instructions. Our local Lowes had the required Hillman fitting (in drawer not on wall). FYI - there are many types of fittings so get the recommended size in video. #10 pan head sheet metal screw (2 inch) with a #10 washer works perfectly as well. Thanks for the video! for those having the problem of the seat moving one way but not the other, you have to take apart the individual toggle. That is just snapped on. You take it apart and clean the contacts on both surfaces or the rocker arm thing. Mine we kind of black , so I used a q tip and some rubbing alcohol and then did my best to scrape off the black with a utility blade and wipe off again with rubbing alcohol. I put it back and presto! sorry to hijack this vid...but figured someone could use this. Cheers!
Good video. I epoxyed the broken pieces, one held well and the other popped off again. That one, that broke again was messed with big time by the previous owner, it wasn't a clean break and had lot of glue on. I guess I will get those brass things.
