After running these tusk terrabites for one full year I have to say Im pretty impressed. In this video I will break down highway use, trail riding, mud, and snow and rate each on a scale of 1-10. We go over the pros and cons of the terrabite.

I've been running them for 2 years and love them. I drive a RZR 900 XC on 30's and ride all sorts of terrain, love to explore but not really a mud rider. Never had a problem with mud I've had to go through though. Found out from when I was a young guy that playing in the mud tended be expensive on these big boy toys.

I agree on playing in the mud. It tends to get expensive at times. Lol. They are a great tire for what you and I do. Thanks for watching

This is the exact rype of videos i love to seeI looking at the terrabite or megabite and use mainly for farm and hunting.Western illinois and we do have some mud but mainly trails and field edges.We have some good hills so i might go with megabites as i dont really run paved roads much at all. Thanks for a great video!!

I’m about to order some terrabites and rims for my Pioneer. I do a lot of road riding and am looking forward to less road noise. Your videos definitely have helped me on which tires to go with. I appreciate your videos!

I'm using Carlyle Black Rocks on my Polaris Ranger and love them they are great in mud and all I use mine for is hunting and trapping!! Thanks for the review buddy!

I will have to check those black rocks out. I use mine for hunting purposes and getting me back and forth to my deer leases. I don't see any real deep mud besides creeks and wash outs from heavy rains. My terrain is mainly hills but im considering buying a set of take offs so I can have a set of more aggressive rims and tires if needed. Thanks for the info and thanks for watching.

Great video, fair assessment. My '21 P1K5 Deluxe is currently waiting for its new tires & wheels to arrive - 15x7 Tusk Beadlocks wrapped with 30x10x15 Terrabite Aramid 10ply radials. I will/do have FoxQS3 shocks and SuperATV high clearance A-Arms, so the 30 will fit nice. Appreciate all the time and effort you put into your vids, Piney Life.

@@pineylife She got new SATV A-Arms and the Tusk tires & wheels installed over the past couple of days. Wow, what a difference! Waiting on my toe/camber plates to arrive so I can set them up more precise, but WOW, are these 1000% better than the stock bias ply tires. And I do enjoy your videos, so keep them coming! God bless!

new subscriber here I'm in Tennessee too lol, great video and a good review. I have a 2020 teryx 4 I'm running 28x10x14 Sedona rip saw on mine they are a pretty good tire I'd probably rate the 8 overall but I'm thinking of switching to something else on my next set wich will probably be before deer season

Hello neighbor and thanks for the sub. Teryxs are awesome machines. One of my good friends dale walker has one and he has got a lot of stuff done to it. Look for his comment on this video to what tires he is running on his teyrx.. I really like these terrabites on my machine.. They perform great for what I use mine for. Keep us posted on what you put on it next.

Great video. Great review. I recently bought a 2021 pioneer 1000-5. Im looking at an all terrain tire. Currently running what it came with from the factory/dealership. Dirt master. A paddle style tire that has a mud grip look.

Congrats on your purchase. They are awesome machines. Sounds like a real aggressive tire. I love the terra bite for road use. What's your main purpose for your pioneer. Trail riding? Mudding or just all around use?

@@pineylife it is a ranch rocket. Many uses from mini pickup to trail rig. Our ranch is fairly rural. 10 miles from town and 20 miles from awesome trails in the mountains. Im thinking keep the paddles for spares and go with a square set of all terrains that can be rotated.
@pineylife
@pineylife Год назад
@@A8vscRrabbit We have a lot in common. I'm 4 miles from the deer leases. 8 miles from town and I have a medium speed vehicle tag so as long as I'm on a 45 mph road I'm legal. So our pioneer sees alot of pavement till we hit the lease. Great idea on a spare set of rims and tires.

I really dig your videos, I'm a big fan of people who give their honest raw opinion. I have a 2022 and they have better tires than the big horn. I live in northern Michigan and I'm excited to plow snow this winter with my Pioneer. Those seem to handle the snow really well and we get slammed with snow.
@pineylife
@pineylife Год назад
Thank you, I really appreciate you watching. Honda really stepped there game up on the tire combos in 2022. The big horns are a decent tire. Bite really good in all terrain but are way to thin. The road abuse I put them thru going back and fourth to the lease was one of the reasons they wore out so fast. I'm really enjoying the DOT approved 8 ply terrabites. They did good in the snow for me in Tennessee but we don't get as much snow as yall do. lol.

I enjoy your videos and have encouraged other boys to follow you, as well. I'm ordering the Terrabites today and am torn between the 28X10x14 all the way around, and keeping the stock 27x9x14 in front and 27x11x14 in the rear. Do you see any TRUE benefit to the 28" tire other than maybe 1/2" ground clearance?
@pineylife
@pineylife 2 года назад
First off thank you for the support of the channel and helping spread the word about Piney Life. Its Comments like this that make the videos worth doing.. A lot of people are running the same size all the way around. With a new set of rims it makes it handy to be able to rotate the rims from front to back... Honestly I don't see a major benefit to running a 28. Like you said its only a extra inch of ground clearance but I don't think it would make much difference in the long run.

🏆🏆🏆👍🇺🇲🙏 Sounds like a great tire ✌️. I'm running USA made Interco Sniper 920 radials that are 8-ply and balanced, 3/4" tread depth, 28x10-14. Similar tread design to the Terrabyte. They are a great choice, too. 🤗 For mud, I have Super ATV Intimidators that are smooth on hard pack, but clean out very well Thank you for sharing

As you already know, I'm running 30x10x14 carnivores on a 2018 Teryx4. Overall, I'd rate mine as a strong 8 1/2-9. Been on my Teryx almost 2 years and are wearing great. I don't put it on the road much because that's what wears your tires. I use mine 95% of the time for hunting.

I have about 2800 miles on my Tusk Terabytes (Pioneer 1000-5). I just rotated them for the second time. This last time (yesterday) I moved the fronts to the back AND swapped left over to the right side. The rear tires simply got moved to the front. I kept those two on the same side of the vehicle. This is how they rotate tires on a car or regular vehicle without directional tires. My rear tires are now humming loudly. I’m thinking the outside tread rows are uneven or something and it may have been a mistake to move them from left to right and vice versa. Advice?
@pineylife
@pineylife 2 года назад
I would say they are worn on the outside from being in the front. I know on all terrain tires on a truck. You get checkering ( every other tread lug wears at a angle) on the outside and inside tread from being turned left to right and when they are moved to the back they are more loud for awhile till the tread wears back even. That’s my guess. Sounds like it might be the same issue. But not 100 percent on that.
@ericwilson54
@ericwilson54 2 года назад
@@pineylife I agree so I’ll just deal with the humming and hope it subsides after a couple hundred miles. My use is 95% asphalt as I mainly drive around town and down the backroads to my farm 10 miles away.
@pineylife
@pineylife 2 года назад
@@ericwilson54 I would say your right I bet they will wear in pretty quick. I looked up the Terrabites just to make sure and it does not say anything about being directional so you should be good to put them anywhere on the utv. Keep me posted please on if our theory was right.

The 29” Should be called 27“ because they run super small. Just installed my 29x9x14 and 29x11x14 on 7 inch stock front and 8 inch stock rear rims and they barely measure 27 3/4 inches . Still 2 inches bigger then the 27” Kanati Mongrel that barely measures 25” lol 2013 Can Am Commander 1000xt .

I have watched many of your P1K videos. I have a 2021 P1K5. Do you think the Tusk Terrabite 28x10x14 all way around would be a good option just to have a slightly bigger tire? Any idea if the 28x10x14 will work for the stock front rims? Would appreciate any input thank you

Thank you for the support of my channel. My uncle just purchased another Honda pioneer 1000-5 so there should be more videos coming to the Honda playlist. On the 28 x 10 x 14. Yes they will work. I know a guy that put those on his stock front rims. They clear and he says it handles just fine. Now they are a little close when you turn them all they way from one side to another but they don't rub. let me know if you have any more questions and keep me posted on your machine. Thanks again
