Slight, you the man! i look to your videos for all maintenance on my Rebel. i am glad you mentioned with or without ABS. you make everything look so easy, and explain everything. THANK YOU!
you love your Honda 500 rebel me too ! 9 min condensed video infography explains ... pump ... hold ... release ... pump ... hold ... release ... you make the video in winter :) for you subscribers ... thanks !
Great video! I use a -one way bleeder hose-with it you don't need to open and close the bleeder-just gently operate the lever or pedal checking the master for fluid so you don't run out. I got mine at Napa for $8.00!
Needed this,,have leak in rear brake, think it is the banjo bolt on the caliper system. Could be just loose or could have the orings blown out. Dont know, dont care as under warranty. But still like to have the knowledge of the system,,,and you provided that,,,,thanks
@@SLIGHT_ thanks. just asking, i have done auto disc brake jobs, so i don't believe it would be much different. checked my pads real good, still have a lot of pad left. thanks again.
I follow you well, but at the end, I cannot put screws to fix the oil reservoir, it is slip off. Can you advise me how to handle? (it is minute 7:18 in your video)
Hello great video, can you please provide the screwdriver use for the rear? Also, about how much quantity of brake fluid of DOT 4 would I need, would 12oz suffice?
It doesn’t need much. Yet it depends on how much flushing is required. 12os should be fine. The screw driver for the rear are JIS. Many people use a regular Philips… just note: you may have an issue with stripping the head if you’re not careful.
The housing that holds the bolt in for the rear brakes fell inside its housing. Idk how tf it happened but yeah. No idea what to do until I can bring her in.
The rear bracket that holds the bolt/pin in place a square bolt. It sits inside a little indent inside the housing for the battery. If you remove the battery you will find your bracket hiding back there…. Ask me how I know lol…
The hose in the video is off my bleeder unit. (Snap on) yet I have a video coming out over winter in the motion pro bleeder hose. 08-0482. I would go with that kit.
Bleed until clear, making sure you always have fluid in the reservoir so you don’t add air in the system. I typically bleed it down a full reservoir (1-2 times) to confirm all the old stuff is out. (In camera I only showed a few times)
@@mrpozhiloy6595 yes that’s fine. The fluid will be at the bottom. Just make sure it stays above the minimum mark. That way no air can get into the master.
It’s the hose to the bleeder tool I have. You can use many types of tubes like nose breather kits found at pharmacies. I’ll see if I can find something on Amazon that will work.
@@danielvalentin1743 can you be more Clear on the issues bolt? Front or rear brake? Reference the time stamp on the video so I can better understand the issues area. Thanks for pointing this out.
