Thank you! For that 2015 key you will need a precision screwdriver set to unscrew the small screw then use a flat screwdriver to separate the two halves from the side. Replace the CR1620 battery with the + side facing away from you.

Is the aspect of pressing the start button with the key fob because the vehicle was opened with a key instead of the remote?

Yes, because the battery in the remote is dead you will have to start the car using the RFID chip manually. You do not have to press with the remote, but it does need to be near the start button before pressing the start button with your fingers. The idea is, once you start the car manually, you can drive to get a new battery.

It could be a problem with the latches and/or sensors in your car. You cannot remote start if the car thinks anything is open or has low fuel. Double check that you didn't accidentally leave your hood open.

No, please double check the battery 1. Is the battery good? 2. Is the battery upside down? 3. Is the battery making contact with the metal connectors?

Make sure your battery is not upside down and also check that the metal that comes into contact with the battery is not so flat that it isn't making a connection.

I would 1. Check that the battery is installed correctly 2. Check that the battery is good 3. Try the battery from the second remote that is working 4. If the remote is damaged or not repairable, new remotes can be ordered online but getting them programmed is expensive.

You have a few seconds to press the Start Button with your finger if you prefer, but it is easier to explain as pressing with the remote to make sure the RFID is detected.

Technically you can place the remote over the start button and then you have 10 seconds to press the button with your fingers. If you are familiar with door access cards/badges for work, this is similar in that you are using the key fob as a card/badge and the start button has a reader. Batteries can die unexpectedly so it is nice to have this backup method to start the car.

You definitely want to keep the battery fresh so you can't accidentally lock your keys in the trunk. I accidentally left my keys in the gym bag and shut the trunk, but the Accord senses it opens the trunk automatically.

Yes, it will shut off when they run out of gas ⛽ otherwise it won't stop until they turn off the car.

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately you need the key to manually unlock the car so if you cannot get your key then you will need to get a ride to a store to replace the battery.

There are little clips holding the battery, you can use your finger or key to slide those clips while lifting up on the battery.

For the mechanical part of the key, yes, but to pair the wireless part of the key requires the car as far as I know. If that is not an option there are companies that can send you the device used to program the key to the car and then you send the device back.
