@@boratwilson9916 No, however I'd choose a Honda, Toyota, Nissan truck all day long before a GM. The last good Chevy truck I owned was a '72 C10. The '86 Suburban Silverado I had afterward was so-so. Late 80s was GMs decline.
As much as they're mocking the Ridgeline, this is actually showing how capable and well equipped this "Man-van" really is. Far more than any actual Honda ad probably has ever shown.
I mean any slightly taller AWD car such as Forester, all-road, and the like could do any of this. The ridge line is a 2in lifted accord with front bias AWD and a plastic bed.
Yeah I didn't see it hesitate at any point. Ridgeline has a very advanced 4wd system that can actually send all the power to a single wheel that has traction. It's even more advanced than what jeep has but don't say anything you'll make em mad. And make fun of the trunk if you want to, I appreciate lockable storage any way I can get it.
Had me rolling! I just had an old dude last week; that looks damn near exactly as the character you portrayed in the video; showing me all the features of his silver Ridgeline. The trunk thing is also a cooler with a drain, which I thought was pretty nifty.
This needs to be a gah-dang T-shirt, so fast, pocket T, heavy duty Fruit of thw loom, prefer black or darker stain hiding colors. Would totally make a cardboard template and half fast spray paint that on plain black shirt for the lulz anyways.
Lifted Jeep TJs with death wobble have all left the chat….. then re-entered the chat, opened their mouths to say something, thought better of it and closed their mouths….. then left the chat again…..
@@GingerBilly , you develop a pretty good sense of humor and a thick skin after driving one for 6 years! My license plate is “FAUXTRK” so I get to make the first jab.
The Ridgeline is an extremely versatile family car for those who have limited parking in the city. It has incredible traction and storage space and is remarkably comfortable inside. Its 5' bed with high gate and no wheel well bulges is surprisingly usable. That's all.
Truthfully, probably zero, as a vehicle is a device used to transport goods, materials, livestock, or persons over travel roads. Maybe those devices are used for that, but unlikely.
If you watch close you'll notice most of the vehicles are the SAME 1 Painted a different color and MODIFIED different! It's a FORD Festiva car he made a truck out OF . The Ron beer , the Far wagon , the ambulance whatever he called it ! Seen 1 of his Videos it was BLUE! Don't remember what it was supposed to be!
@@GingerBilly yeah you can only play in traffic so much before it gets old. All the cars do is swerve and honk. Playing with the dog is fun, except when you both fight for the steak hanging around your neck that your dad put there. (I have first hand experience)
It's funny, every time 'real truck people' test the Ridgeline it turns out not to be as bad as expected at all. Still looks like an Igloo cooler though.
No one click on the stupid "let's watch" video. I did it for all of us and it's nothing worth dedicating a view count to. Ignore the spammer and report him.
I used to off road in a 81 Honda civic hatchback and with street tires. You'd be surprised what you can do with streetcars and skill. 👍😆. Great vid man.
I have a story for you! My husband took me down a summer road, while it was raining, in his Chevy Silverado, and we got completely stuck in mud. My mother in law rescued us in her pretty, blue Honda Ridgline. Getting rescued from the mud by his mama! Neither of us will let him live it down.
I want a Ridgeline way bad haha. I recognize I most of the time I don't need full truck abilities and am happy to have it drive like an SUV, and have a bed for occasional things. Most people don't actually need that giant lifted truck for hauling their groceries..
I agree, but if you live in a state that reams you for comercial plates like CA then you may want to go full sized. The nice surprise on the Ridgeline is you can lay plywood and drywall 4'x8' flat between the wheel wells like you would on a full size truck. The J series Honda V6 engine's are proven. Just change the timing belt every 100K and you'll be fine.
@@danp7463 interesting what do you mean about the commercial plates? Didn't know that about the plywood that's way nice. Oh and good reminder on the interference engine.
You would like it. I have a 2022 RTL-E HPD Ridgeline. I was looking at a suv but since I like to mountain bike with friends and don’t want to take multiple cars I can put the bikes and e-bikes on the tailgate. Fits 6 bikes easily and is comfortable to drive since it’s on a AWD suv chassis. It’s perfect! A lot better than a big ford or ram which I would never put to full use. I don’t work construction nor do I off road or tow. I don’t know why people hate so much??
All jokes aside the awd system in the ridgeline is really good, but it still looks like a limp wristed avalanche lmao. Im tired of pulling the huge rim rubber band tire lifted trucks out of the mud pit though lol with a damn 96 2dr ram lol
Looks around, look uo the Holden UTE. In australia the el camino never died and became an entire segment of the car market. Also they dropped LS engines in them. Rather have that than a ridgeline or avalanche.
@@specialopsdave meanwhile my dodges and I can be spotted at the lumber yard. Vaglines aren't real trucks. When you go to a construction site the only people driving something like that never leave the job site trailer
Not sure how long this tech has been around or who invented it, but we had an 80s Ford station wagon with a 3 way tailgate like that too when I was a kid. Kinda crazy they are still being touted as new tech
As much as I would like Honda to take the credit, my 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser had drop down & swing to the side tailgate (same as Chevy Caprice wagon or Buick Estate wagon).
As someone who drove across his share of Russian offroad, I'd actually recommend to always wear your seat belts. They not only increase safety, they actually increase comfort factor when your suspension starts playing.
Seat belts aren't always safe. They kill just as much as they save. They are highly flammable and they are known for getting stuck. Had an uncle crash and his car caught fire seat belt was stuck it was middle of night and he couldn't reach his pocket knife. He died. There are many many other instances of seat belts killing or harming I do get what you mean though.
@@cloversnek6751this just isn't true. Seat belts save way more then kill. The main reason is that seat save people from serious head trauma from more mundane accidents such as rear. These accidents happen far more often and more people would die or get seriously injured if they didn't have their seatbelts on
I own a Ridgeline and this video made me laugh. This guy is hilarious and when I saw he had a Ridgeline video I had to watch! I do get a lot of flak for owning a Ridgeline but I can tell you I've owned two, along with 2 other midsize trucks, and the Ridgeline blows them away; sorry but it's true. Come on, it did better "spinny circles" than the Tacomer!!!
Thank you for being able to take a joke! I’m not gonna lie…the Ridgeline made it through stuff today that I never thought it would. We’re gonna really take it off reading next and see what it’s really made of!
Billy's wife is probably having fits about what Billy is doing with her new Honda Ridgeline. I mean it must belong to his wife because no man would admit to *ownin* a Honda Ridgeline TBH.
I had a 2008 silver Honda ridgeline when i lived in Arizona..Love it or hate i drove her til the wheels fell off..Well tail pipe to🤣..Good truck for all you haters...
I remember when the first gens were being teased by Honda. I remember talking about it all the time with a buddy I used to work with. We were both into Hondas and he had a Civic SI at the time. We talked about how it would probably compare with the Dodge Dakota in size and look like a proper truck. I remember talking about buying one as soon as they came out. Then Honda gave us this abomination. This sad, pathetic excuse for a truck. We talked so much shit on it after that!
I imagine that there is undoubtedly someone within earshot of Billy, just sitting there in their deerstand, wondering just what in the hell is going on just over the next ridge! 😂😂😂
My brother just picked one up and his hair is definitely going gray! It is a man van, he got it cuz his kid n fiance fit better in that than a civic lol
I both own and love my Gen-1 Ridgeline, but I have to call you out on this one. That "Ridgeline" that you are talking about is a Ridgeline in name and badge only. Literally nothing about that Baja winner is stock. The engine is twin turbo-charged, the tires are 40s, tube frame, fiberglasss panels....RWD ....... yeah that's not a Ridgeline lol.
Lmbooooooo 😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂🤣😭 the wig on Carl🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾🤦🏿🤦🏿♀️ WHAT'S INSURANCE 😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂🤣😭😂💯 Tool box like real man, no trunk in truck Carl. LORD HAVE MERCY, MY ABS HURT FROM LAUGHING SO HARD!!!!!
That was well done Ginger Billy. Good lines. That takes a lot of time to split the conversation and keep the pace. The back and forth on that was really good. You are gaining in your talent Sir. Very funny, damn good job. Thank you Ginger Billy, Merry Christmas Sir.
Well, let's give "Carl" a little credit, y'all.... A: he didn't get his truck stuck in the mud, and.... B: he's wearing a pretty cool flowerdy shirt. Shush it, I remember when "JAMZ" were in style. 😂😂😂
Honestly, didn't see a thing wrong with the truck. Plus, the whatever did look like an illegetment love child of a bird cage and a piece of doodoo. Send it!
Ohhh Dear Mrs. Ginger Billy, how long did it take him to crack the fender after y'all got the new truck? 😆 Love y'all! Pssst Billy, this is why your wife can't have nice things! Lol
"that thing is an illegitimate love child of a El Camino and a Honda Pilot" Classic one liner! LOL Ginger Billy, Couldn't agree more. same line goes for the "Cybertruck" Gay!!
My 03 ranger's rear bumper can be hit by an anxious towncar and wrenched straight with a good chain and any price of metal that weighs more than 1300 pounds, my dad grazes the back corner of a Honda Ridgeline in his old beat up 97 'stang while backing out, came out without a scratch and then the bill for the Ridgeline with the slightly popped bumper plastic was about $1400.
