How the dye holding up? I just ordered everything and am going to re dye my seats red too. Wii is ok this stuff rub or flake off like some of the other paints/dye? Also, did you have to remove the rejuvenating oil after? I’ve read that sometimes there’s leftover residue. If so, what did you use?
There definitely is a residue left over, so I cleaned it before dyeing with a meguiars leather cleaner. Zero issues with the dye so far. No color transfer to clothes, flaking or rubbing off. Good luck!
@@ludelvr the way it's been explained to me, it has to be sealed in something whether that's resolene or some other sealant/protectant. Initially, the resolene was a bit more shiny than I'd like. That said, it got way better after buffing it with a microfiber towel. Looks more natural than in the video now.
@@vtecbrown I totally forgot to ask. How much of that sealer did you use for the 2 seats? I can only find a 4 oz bottle but you have a 32. Hope you didn’t use all of that.
I've seen the same thing recommended by Leatherique. In my case I did not use it as I thought it would be a waste of money. I cleaned them really well and the seats were under good temperature during the whole process. Between coats, err on the side of letting them dry longer. The dye still has not rubbed off any color and I've been in and out of them almost daily.
