Honda S2000 Type S Restoration 

this was satisfying to watch, but damn the owner of this s2000 is a true enthusiast with deep pockets!!

I know the cost is probably really high, but I respect the dedication and attention to detail to this restoration. That car is most likely not going to be driven heavily, but appreciated for its timeless appearance.

Just seeing all of those. Honda OEM parts stacked together gave me anxiety. That shit is expensive.

I personally felt like a lot of the pieces could've been reused and cleaned up. Like the airbox. Sweet restoration regardless though.

That pile of Honda boxes reminded me of years of accumulating parts to restore my CRX, before I even bought the car. Mine was stripped of everything down to the bare chassis and took me almost 3 years to put back together with all new bits.

This is by far the cleanest and best looking Honda S2000 I've ever seen, can only imagine the cost to restore and extensive labor required. Although, given how rare these Honda S2000 Type S/ CR models are they could end up being worth $100k or more especially in this mint condition, not that crazy for the owner to have it in pristine collector quality.

Loved this restoration. A lot of people would've opted to rice it out with aftermarket modifications/parts they consider "upgrades" that in reality are worse than OE parts for 99% of street driving situations.

Total makeover of a soon to be considered to be classic. The effort put in and the OEM parts had to exceed the 35k new price of an AP2. Mine is an 08 in Laguna Blue. Smile every time I’m driving 😃

I wouldn't really call this a "Restoration" More like a very good detailing. To me, restoration is removing EVERYTHING and getting all new bolts, bushings, everything!

That is one SWEEEEEET ride! I wish I had bought one of those brand new back when they came out. I had the chance to get a brand new one exactly like this one at sticker price and passed on it. OUCH.

probably was someone dream car when they were young and could not afford it. fast forward many years, and lots of hard work, now this person has the means to buy one and wanted it showroom new. unfortunately no brand new ones, so he had one made.

Most likely a future auction block car and not going to be driven like is should. I can’t be mad at trying to bank off of the restored to new for profitability even if I wouldn’t do it. Great video.

These guys are passionate about the restoration and almost new parts for all their work. From an environmental perspective, whatever happens to the old parts that are still serviceable? Do they get reconditioned and traded at parts swap or end up in a landfill? Hopefully car restoration can also be a greener endeavor than turfing out old parts for new.

Nice job - seems a bit extreme to ditch all those perfectly usable parts but each to their own :D I envisage doing this in about 20 years time when my 05 Berlina Black is looking a bit shabby and super unleaded is £200/l :D - maybe I should start stockpiling OEM parts that currently bug me due to scratches and scuffs, which I imagine will start to become as rare as hen's teeth as time goes by...maybe the owner is on to something there ;)

Wash the whole car before painting it (might b just unseen not undone). Put all emblems before waxing and applying protecting layers to avoid damaging sticking material. And the lights need protecting layers too, but not the ones used on the body
