Dude!!! Very well done. Very inspirational. Mind if I asked what shocks you eventually went with? And if the hardtail struts were worth it? My town has some pretty rough roads.
Thank you! This is similar the shocks I use. www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-10-5-267mm-Black-Rear-Shocks-Fit-For-Harley-Sportster-1200-XL1200C-04-12-/324981044332?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 I did not use the hardtail struts. The frame on the old shadow made the seat to high in the back when i use the springs on the seat.
Great job, nice to look at, I have three questions. Where did you hide the fuses and wires from the headlamp? Did the vt1100 tank fit without modifying the handles? From what bike did you put the pumps on the handlebars??
Thank you. I hide them in the custom box I made under the seat. The handlebar is not original, it is the Biltwell Frisco bars. The clutch and brake pumps is from a honda VFR750.
I’m trying to get the same bike running, set up like yours, was it only the jets you put in that made it run good.? Cause mine only idles, I give it gas it dies
I clean the carbs, change the jets and use 2 shims on each needle. But it did start and run before I did that, so it sounds that you have a different problem.
what setup did you use for te carbs when you chanced the airfilters ? needle and sprinkler ? i'm doiing the same bike , found it sitting in a barn for over 15 years , got it now so far that it starts, now its time to make it look as good as yours , great job !!
