Honda VTX 1300, I just wanted to change the timing chain, but I realized that because of this I have to take out the whole engine ... sad news ... but I did it, and changed all the cylinder and head gaskets, O-rings, renewed the carburetor, etc, enjoy it.
Honda VTX 1300, nem hittem el de a vezérműlánc cseréjéhez ki kellett venni a komplett motort, hengertalp és hengerfej tömítések csere, összes egyéb szükséges tömítés csere, karburátor felújítás, stb.

Thank you for watching! Be careful with taking out the engine, heavier than it seems. Take a picture about all the wires and cables before dismounting the bike, and also be careful with installing the final drive connect to the engine. Have a good luck!

I like the classic old school head light, is that how you bought it or did you swap it out? I have a 2005 Honda VTX1300 with the modern headlight, I like the old school better.

dude…Did you remove the engine to right side of the bike? Isn’t the left side the correct one to bring the engine out?
@latzkoworks

I don't know bro, made it the first time. Yes, removed the engine to the right side.

I need to change my valve seals plugs are oiling up after its parked after watching this I feel tempted to cut the frame so I can do it without removing engine and putting bits of wood in inlet &exhaust so I can leave the heads on.. maybe I have lived in Cambodia too long🤣🤣🤣 that was an immense amount of work and beyond my skills or ability to pay
@latzkoworks
@latzkoworks Год назад
I feel what you feel ... I did not believed that I have to take out the whole engine because of the oil leakage and timing chain change. It is a nightmare. Greetings from Hungary.

hello i like what u do alot very proffesional....i own vtx 1300 2006 there are oil leakage from top cover head cylinder rear from also plug rubber above spark plug if i want to remove head cover cyilnder only and clean it with new plug rubber should i remove the engine from frame or the head can remove without removing engine like what u do first remove front head cover without dissambling engine from frame
@latzkoworks
@latzkoworks Год назад
Hello, there is not enough space because of the frame and the long cylinder head bolts to take out the head cover, and if once all the head nuts and bolts are taken out, the whole cylinder + head + head cover'll be loose ... so you should replace all the gaskets.

The VTX on the video had 91k km, so you shold check them I think. In one round, engine out, all new gaskets, timing chains, etc, then ride trouble free until the next 100k km. I have insta account, name is latzko_works, or email latzkoworks@gmail.com.

On my VTX1300C, there was a problem. The battery does not charge, I tried everything, even changed the generator, the relay relay, all the relays, all the fuses, did not help. Began to turn off consumers in turn. I installed a battery with a charge indication display, it turned out that when installing a new battery, the display shows 12.75 V, when the ignition key is turned, the voltage drops immediately to 12V for a couple of seconds, and then it is completely discharged to zero. the key returns to its original position, the charge returns to 12.5 and slowly rises to 12.7. I pulled the 10A fuse from the tail/meter, the problem went away, turned off the speedometer and put the fuse back in place, the problem returned. it turns out that the problem is under the rear wing, or the license plate light. Now there is no time to understand, in a month I will return to the issue. In general, an interesting problem :). I also noticed that the contactors of the charge adjustment relay were burnt, the plastic burned through but for a long time, and the starter relay contactors also melted through.

Did you checked the voltage regulator too? It seems that you have a short circuit it the wires somewhere, if the regulator is good. At the bike in the video it was an issue in the speedometer. Have you dismounted the generator, or only have checked the resistances of the coils? Sometimes the resistances are okay, but after dismounting the generator you see that it is burned.

@@user-im7ow1sy9j I'm a little late but anyways,try measuing the amps that go thru each wire you should be able to find the issue pretty fast by doing so if it's some positive(+)wire touching a ground/metal(-) even slightly.Otherwise try replacing all the wires with new ones(This is harder than rebuilding it in my opinion) Based on what you said it is the easier problem so try going thru every positive wire that's active only while the key is in ON position.

I'm really sorry. I wanted to write how I solved the problem, but work, home, family and forgot :). I changed the starter and everything is ok. Put in a new starter, problem solved. dismantled the old starter can be seen from the tracks that the stator touched the rotor. and the inner surface of the stator with some kind of depressions. in general, I had a problem with a short circuit in the starter.
