Thanks Miguel, at the moment i just on my own bikes, the Varadero engine is essentially a VTR engine, so the process is the same

Great info again , can I ask why you didn't oil up the cam shafts before putting the carrier's on and sealing the covers back on.

Thanks Chris, Appreciate your comment, yes at the time i did miss that, they were done off camera afterwards, as i also forgot to recheck the timing marks after fitting the tensioner unit

@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder was the timing still on its marks after ? Keep the series coming , I'm not a mechanic but I've been spannering all my own bikes since 1985 and this has given me the confidence to strip my varadero when it needs doing .

@@midlife666 Yes the timing marks were spot on in both cylinders, i learn as i go an each project is a step into the unknown, dont always get it right, but that is part of learning, still more to come on the Varadero, at the moment i just need to get it done and back on the road and will revisit at a later stage to do carb rebuild and bodywork freshen up etc

Hello my friend, can you answer me? I own a Honda St 1100 motorcycle and when I travel I am afraid that I will face a problem of failure of the fuel pump and I am from Iraq and the bike parts are not available permanently. Is it possible to use the car fuel pump, what type do you recommend, and how strong is the pump pressure?
