Hardly any honest drone reviews youtubers left. Even the "this is not a sponsored video" youtubers, will do anything to get spotted by the drone manufacturers, so they can receive pre productions and other gifts, while remaining "unbiased".

It's refreshing to find someone who shares my views on those awful auditing channels. Some of the time they're breaking privacy laws too but don't seem to understand that (mostly not with their drones). They're so popular and so many non-drone users love them that I think we're fighting a losing battle. As for the Mini 4 Pro upgrade, I'm similar to you in that I don't care much about "features". I don't even care about obstacle avoidance personally. I fly mostly for stock (sorry but I have to say PLEASE don't submit to Shutterstock, they've utterly killed the stock industry - I use Pond5 and hate the fact SS bought them) and all I care about is video quality. So for me, the only reason to upgrade would be to get D-Log. I'm always frustrated colour-grading from D-Cinelike on my Mini 3 Pro, the colours never seem right no matter what I do. If the Mini 4 Pro could give me far better results, it would be worth upgrading for me. Great video, thanks.

Hi Ian i like your review. I think an upgrade form Mini 3 pro is not justified. The mini 3 pro is alredy a very capable drone with good quality. I was also able to sell some of my clips on shutterstock and getty images. A few more bucks and i will reach the minimun to withdraw. I think i need to learn how to tell a story and have better camera for shots from the ground

I just bought the Mini 4 Pro... flew it 4 times and then crashed into a tree while it was auto landing and the battery was low. In the winter, it could not see branches. TBH, I am a bit traumatized. I had to replace two propellers less than 1 week in. I am not sure if I have the old screw in there or not because I lost track because the fit was so tight and now I am not sure if the propeller will fail now while it is 400 feet up. I think I am gonna return it. I did buy a Mini 3 Pro a couple of days ago (Black Friday). Unopened box still ($240 less than the Mini Pro 4). Totally indecisive now. I am even thinking of getting Air 3 (without the RC2 Controller) because the propellers are easier to put on if it crashes. HELP!

Very refreshing review, earned a sub! I equally despise those over the top RU-vidrs shoving sht down your throat. the regulations are messing up everything especially here over in the Netherlands, I'm sticking with my mini 2 for the time since you can barely fly here anyway.

Great video, even though i hate my mini 3 (dew to it being an accident waiting to happen) i think i might stick with it, the only thing that could sway me is the signal strength difference, when i say signal strength, i mean close range signal (going behind objects and stuff)

Very glad you’ve highlighted actual negatives mate as i’ve now noticed other RU-vidrs wont dare say a bad word about any new dji drone the moment dji contact them and start to send them free drones to review. The mini 4 night mode i see being hyped up by loads is one of those examples… like you say, it falls apart badly in anything past twilight and has a ridiculous amount of sharpening added in camera so pretty unusable. Best using dlog-m and manually setting iso /shutter for low light shots.

Thank you for the total honesty in the video. I agree with you like drone community should come together to keep the hobby alive no matter the country. I'm in the US and on top of restrictions they actually have a bill to try to ban DJI all together. Most people who do not fly are misinformed about drones and it scares them. Thank you again.

Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 live your videos but when you brought the mini 4 pro and he said you need different batteries no you don’t if you have a mini 3 pro they are the same battery except 4 pro has the extended battery flying time around 47 minutes because I have both of the drones and love them but I do like my 4pro better but keep up the good work

Is it me or does the mini 4 pro footage seem a lot softer than the mini 3 pro footage? Obviously RU-vid compression is a factor, but it still seems inferior compared to the m3p in these instances.

Bro you got some genuine points about hype about rc2 ..rcn2 has it's own advantages.. with rcn2 you have your own freedom of attaching any phone.. using 3rd party flying apps as well..u can use phone's internal memory to screen recording.. instead of memory card.

Hey mate. My mini 3p just sold today on the bay. Took a 300 quid loss as it has care refresh too. Ordering the 4 tonight as really want the dlog-m and waypoints. Can you plz do me a favour? Got some luts for the 4’s dlogm, and wanted to send them via email to you for your honest opinion. Is that ok? Ive always just used a rec709 lut for the min 3 and wrk from there but this pack has 7 luts. Some might be trash but could you test them? Oh and this was one funny video and really well put together mate.

about the battery situation, the mini 4 pro batteries are lighter which is necessary to stay below 250. is it justifiable? who knows

Hi Ian ive just bought the mini 4 pro and the rc2 handset but when viewing through the handset the brightness is quite poor ive taken the brightness setting to its max but it doesnt seem to of improved.....do you have any suggestions many thanks Grant

And I'm a casual who can't tell the difference visual in your comparisons.in fact mini 3 looks better to my casual eyes. So i listened to your advice and your points....and completely ignored them all because I'm weak and can't resist spending money I can't afford on a minimal upgrade caus I've fooled myself it might make me take capturing footage more serious/better just because its got a "cool light underneath it" as I told a friend earlier. Sigh. Csn anyone else relate to this? Lol

I'm also guilty of liking the RC with the Mini 3 Pro, despite being certain that the old controller from my Mini 2 was good enough. Or even better in some regards. Now I love the new controller. Except for a few occasions when it froze on me.

2:19 “Rubbish little bag from DJI” - finally someone says that aloud! I hate it how the bag size for the Mini series drones has stayed the same (at least since Mini 2) yet the drones and the remote controllers keep growing in size… Mini 3 Pro and the RC was already a tight fit, but Mini 4 Pro with the propeller holder and beefier RC 2 make it feel like you’re cramming a Zeppelin into a condom. Most drone flyers get in legal trouble because they have this need to get some online attention. I have flown for personal viewing in some circumstances that would be considered questionable. Will anyone ever see the footage, never as it will never be online. It is for personal enjoyment with family and friends.

Bro, if there is no side- to- side comparison or / and some magnification from the very same spot in the same light, ( and some grading of shots ) then this video quality comparison is just pointless ( just like hundreds of other comparison videos ). Location is just incredible tho.
