this is my 100% honest update of using Monat for 7 months. this is only an update using their hair products including shampoo, conditioner, treatments and styling.
I will be filming an update of their skin & wellness products AND all the tea on the business opportunity very soon!! I hope this gives you more insight on the hair products before making your decision if you want to try them or not.
The products that I would recommend and would purchase again are because my hair did not have a negative reaction. As much as I liked those certain products they are replaceable with a product that is on a shelf at your local beauty store. Personally, I don't like the inconvenience of having to constantly order a product online (especially if I use it daily) and have to wait 2-3 weeks for it. When I can easily run to my local beauty store and use it right away (but that's just my preference).
this was only my experience using their products and how I feel about them. everyone’s scalp, hair & overall body is different. so my experience and your experience may be different or it may be the same. there is no right or wrong, just different💜

I hate that Monat touts they're the "only" brand to be good for your hair...uh have you met the curly girl community? We've *been* sulphate-free, silicone-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free (etc). And you can use high-end products or drug store products, it doesn't matter! It's what's good for your body and what fits in your budget. Not what some girl on IG says.

And also that dry shampoo changed the game for meeeee The only thing I’ll say is I feel like your market partner didn’t do a great job of recommending the right shampoo for you, but I hear how happy you are with your new one and I’m so glad to hear that!! Also super love the fully honest review. I tend to not trust one that’s all positive or all bad lol.

I like you am about 7or 8 months in and have the exact same experience. Little to no hair loss the first few months and now I’m at least a level 5 or 6 abnormal loss. My hair wasn’t that bad to start with and now I’m dealing with gaps on my scalp. I’m very disappointed.

Love the video! Honest truth is great! I’m a little confused why you had to switch to so many shampoos though. Monat is not a one size fits all and is important to use the system specifically for your hair type/hair concern. Super important to take the hair quiz and have an experienced hair consultant. I personally have gotten great experience from the products due to suffering from alopecia. I have not had any outbreaks from switching over which then had me joined the business. I personally had an amazing hair transformation and have been able to help so many people. I’m sorry you went through what you went through 7 months was a fair shot giving it a try, but again definitely a little confused on why so many different shampoos.

Love that you made this video! I just got Monat products because I was looking for a new shampoo and conditioner and I literally typed in monat hair products into youtube just to see what videos I can do in the future on my channel but then I came across videos like yours that claim lots of hair loss and I used the Volumizing shampoo twice now and both times I did notice more hair loss but thought that was just because I switch shampoos within a short amount of time but ughh I'm so glad I saw your video and others because I don't want to continue using this if I'll lose more hair

aww omg I'm so happy you saw this video early!!! but yeah girl like I said I would not recommend the shampoos at all. I do have another video for hair loss tips if you notice that it keeps getting worse too!

I’ve been using Monat Volumizing and my scalp is very dry and flaky. When you have scalp issues, see a dermatologist.

Some monat leave in products have been reported, by independent testing, to have very high PH levels. Close to the PH level of hair “relaxers”. Some curly hair is relaxed to straight. Colored hair plus high PH equals breakage. Hair doesn’t detox. There are Monat support groups for people who were damaged by the products. I don’t think there are large Clairol, rev Lon ,Tresseme, etc. support groups!

I don't sell Monat. I tried from drug stores to Salon or brands from Sephora shampoos etc. I am a diamond and Rouge. I spend alot of moola. Nothing I found I works as good as Monat. My hair never felt and look so good. I wont go back to using anything else. I have fine balayage hair. I have been using Monat for a year now. It also help maintain color. Yes I agree some might not work for them. It works for me. Despite everyone saying its a pyramid scheme I truly like their products. I don't like the air dry cream, rejuva beads, moxie mousse and gloss mist.

Exactly my case. I used it for 2 years and didn't even realize that I stopped loozing hair until I needed to test henna color on the hair off my brush. Well I couldn't get enough hair off my brush to test. Anyways, I ran out of Monat shampoo and conditioner for about 2 months and suddenly my brushes were full of lost hair. I mean, handfuls. I went right back to Monat and will never stop it. My hair look and feel much healthier when on Monat. I don't really care about any other of their products, only shampoos, conditioners and oil for hair.

Hi thank you for making this video its super helpful. I bought the black shampoo and now after hearing that you lost so much hair I'm a little hesitant. Do you think I should try it or do you think I should stick with the shampoo that my hairdresser recommended and try their other products like the hair oil and stuff?

aw of course really glad you found it helpful!! everyone is different so maybe you won't have the same experience I did with the shampoo but I did recently post a video about what products I switched to directly after Monat if you want to see what I used that did work for me. As far as their other products, truly still love their oil & dry shampoo so I would say give those a try if you're curious about their products. I am filming another video today about my current up to date hair products that I truly have been LOVING for my hair if you want to keep a lookout for that! I feel in my last Aeropostale video you can see the difference in my hair from shine and hair growth. As far as what your hairdresser recommended, if you trust her go for it lol 💕

I'm really sorry this happened to you. Personally for me I have used everything under the sun to clear my skin and keep my hair from shedding so much. I've been using Monat for 1 month and for me it has been a blessing in disguise, even for my husband. Our skin and hair has never been more healthier and clear. Everything doesn't always work on everyone I learned that the hard way, we just always have to remember that. Again, I'm so sorry this happened to you. Thanks for sharing your story though and keeping it real.

I think it’s a hit or miss thing for people. I’ve only tried the samples and I like them. So I placed my first order and if I don’t like it I’ll be returning it. But I figured I would just see if it works for me.

I bought my boyfriend the Monat Black for him to try it out with me about 3 months ago ... his hair is growing back and his psoriasis is almost under control ! I bought it for me as well and my hair stopped falling as much and it has gotten longer . I do suffer from alopecia so for my hair to grow back out and get longer is a miracle lol .

Okay I’m not a hair stylist but from every stylist I’ve ever talked to they’ve said putting your hair up in a pony tail or bun EVERYDAY is very damaging to your hair. Not saying the Shampoo wasn’t part of that (I don’t sell their products) but the way you style your hair could have very likely been what was causing your hair loss. Having that slicked back style pulls your hair and puts a lot of stress on your scalp which can lead to hair loss.

I wear a pony every day because of practicalty and I don't have that issue. What I did notice that my hair is growing very slowly probably because my disordered eating. Even with my hair growing very slowly, I am not losing any hair and I am using some stupid $3 shampoo.

I was so hesitant to try the monat line because of all the backlash! I mean trusted pilot rates it 2/5!! And I see endless horrific reviews of hair loss and how much of a scheme it is. I think their marketing has ruined their reputation but the actual products aren’t bad. The way they go about it and being your own “boss” makes people feel annoyed! Same like walking by those shops in the mall! Those straighteners are actually good quality but the pushy salesman makes people run away. Anyways, I ended up getting the renew shampoo & conditioner bundle with the renew mask. Honestly, it actually worked amazingly for my hair. I have wavy, frizzy hair and especially that mask just transformed my hair. So shiny, silky! I didn’t experience hair loss. I recently ran out and wanted to go back on the website to order but they have doubled their prices! I remember I bought those the products for around $70 and now just for the shampoo it goes for $45!! I might wait but all in all, their products are actually great!

Apple Cider Vinegar (can dilute with water) works great for dry scalps and detoxes the scalp. Massaging it on your scalp at least 5 min before you shampoo your hair, helps a lot. I did use Monat, like you...at first it worked great then my scalp got worse, wasn't cool. Took months for my scalp to get healthy again. Sorry, you had to go through that.

Apple cider vinegar can work wonders but if it isn't helping, please go to a dermotologist. I took my daughter when the vinegar wasn't helping and it turns out that my most of my family have the same issue and they need medicated shampoo for the rest of their lives.

@@mamaramos9675 i do not recommend mixing other brands with monat because again your mixing harsh chemicals with vegan clean products so the results will not be as good you gotta stick to one to actually see & get the results you want

@@mamaramos9675 i’ve been using monat products for 3 months already and honestly it’s not bad. make sure u carefully choose the right products for ur hair type but other than that i’d say go for it. make sure to get a variety of diff products as u don’t wanna be mixing monat w other brands (so like get a shampoo conditioner, masque, leave in conditioner, etc)

Did you think to seek professional help when you experienced such excessive hair loss? Shampoo can potentially irritate the scalp depending on the ingredients and your sensitivity to them but it doesn't cause "hair loss" as it seems to be what you experienced. Hair loss can be hereditary, a medical condition, or lifestyle related choices. You also mentioned that you wore your hair in tight buns mostly which can cause a condition called Traction Alopecia - hair loss, Just some things to consider.AND IF ANYONE IS EXPERIENCING HAIR LOSS SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP PLEASE! NOT A SHAMPOO DEALER.

Honestly I tried their shampoo for 3 days and I hated it. I have thin hair and a dry flaky scalp. My hair was so dry and brittle and a huge NO. I stopped use immediately. The rejuvabeads, conditioning dry shampoo and the only for you CC cream have been products I’ll keep using though.

Hi yes If you are experiencing hair loss using IRT spray and Rejuvabeads is fine😀 Mixing shampoo/conditioner with other styling products is when you will get buildup. Monat user for 5 years now

I’ve been using Monat and it works so good. It’s sound like you were using the 2 in 1 oftener when you’re really supposed to use it like every two washes because it can damage your hair aloud. Sorry the shampoo wasn’t good for you :(
